Happy Thanksgiving From Grand Lake - November 28, 2024
A holiday weekend, and time for a break...
Good Morning!
A Happy Thanksgiving to you!
And, I’m going to go ahead and go a step further, and say Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukah, and Happy Festivus to each and every one of you as well.
May your airing of grievances and feets of strength be merry and bright!
I’m telling you that now, because… I’m going to take myself a break from sending these emails.
You’ll keep hearing from me, but it will only be monthly for the next few months.
That’s not to say there isn’t a lot going on, because there certainly is the next few weeks, that’s for sure, but, I just need a break.
So I’ve spent a lot of time updating the Events page of the website with ALL of the things (parades, skating, Christmas events, and more!) that are coming up, so you can check that out to see what is happening.
And if you are a part of any upcoming events or things happening around the lake, you can email me at [email protected] with the details or a flyer and I’ll get your events added to the website.
I’ve got a little more below, but, for now, that’s it from me. Be sure to visit the website regularly, where the weekly Bum article will be updated every Monday morning and upcoming events and things you need to know will be updated as well.
I’ll slide back into your inbox around January 1 with a look ahead to 2025.
Happy Holidays!!

Don’t worry about stopping for food before you come, the United Cherokee alliance will be running concessions and yes... they will have the most delicious Indian tacos hot and ready for you. Bring the kids to take pictures with Native Santa, he'll be ready with bells on! Free coloring booth and hot chocolate for the kids and they can also have some fun winning desserts at the cakewalk. There will be a 50/50 and raffles all day.

Grand Lake Buzz - This group of small businesses in the South Grand Lake area encourages you to Shop Small this coming Small Business Saturday. They are organizing some kind of something, where you go to one of the businesses and pick up a bag that will have deals from all of the businesses in the area. BUT… as of 9:55 this morning, I haven’t seen any details, so you will need to stay up to date on their Facebook page HERE.
