Good Morning!
There are still going to be some cool mornings and spring like weather, but, I don’t care. I’m declaring it now…
It’s time for some Grand Lake summertime fun!
All of your favorite on-the-water drink spots are open, the bow fishing guys with their bright lights and loud engines are on the water (what WAS that at 3 am on Saturday?), and it’s time for everyone to have a little patience and respect, because there are a lot of different ways for people to enjoy Grand Lake.
So, some friendly reminders - if you are out throwing a wake, keep away from docks (it’s the law); if you’re out fishing at night, try to keep those lights pointed down; keep those life jackets on the youngsters and on the guys and gals who maybe had a few too many iced teas; and, mostly, have fun and be nice.
Officially, Memorial Day is next Monday, making NEXT week the short, holiday week.
But we know better. THIS week is a short holiday week as well.
So, let’s get to it. Here is what you need to know for the week ahead at Grand Lake:

Lake Level - As of 7 am, the lake level is 743.45’ with intermittent generation. Water temps are right around 70 degrees, depending on where you are. Lake conditions are perfect!
Downtown StoryWalk® - Have fun exploring downtown Grove while enjoying a fun story with the kids! Beginning May 22nd (today!), stop by Grove Public Library to get a StoryWalk® map and a fun surprise (while supplies last). Participating businesses will display pages from the book in their windows. Pages with a silver star indicate a special reward that can be redeemed at that stop. A very BIG THANKS to the wonderful downtown merchants for participating!
Coffee! - Keagan’s Coffee, located next to Dollar General at Littlefield’s Corner, is having a soft opening this week starting at 7 am on Tuesday. I’m not sure if I’m supposed to tell you this or not. If not, then you heard about the soft opening on Facebook. Deal? You can follow along and get more details HERE.
Chamber Meeting - The South Grand Chamber will host their monthly membership meeting on Thursday at 11:30 at the GRA building in Langley. The speaker is Cherokee Chief Chuck Hoskin, Jr., so you’ll want to RSVP for this one. Call the chamber at (918) 782-3214 to do that.
The Charity Golf Challenge at the Battlefield is happening on Thursday, starting at 1 pm. Interested in participating? More details HERE.

Garden Party at Lendonwood Gardens - The deadline to get tickets for the upcoming Garden Party at Lendonwood Gardens (happening on June 3rd) is tomorrow, Tuesday the 23rd. Go HERE for details on getting your tickets.
Big Bass Bash - It’s coming up quick, happening the weekend after Memorial Day Weekend. GREAT cash prizes up for grabs for all of you weekend anglers out there. More details and info on getting signed up HERE.
