Good Morning!
First, and most importantly, I’m feeling very blessed and thankful this Memorial Day, and my thoughts are with all of the service men and women who paid the ultimate price protecting our freedoms; and to ALL of you - the surviving family and friends who continue to mourn.
Please keep those that we’ve lost and those that continue to mourn in your thoughts on this Memorial Day.
But, also, hey now, it’s a holiday at Grand Lake, so let’s get out and have some fun as well.
It is another perfect Grand Lake morning, so hopefully you are already drinking coffee on the dock or deck, or, shoot, maybe you’ve already got some crappie in the basket.
However you are spending your day, make the most of it. And every day!

Lake Level - As of 7 am, the lake level is 743.89’ with intermittent generation. Water temps are in the low 70s, depending on where you are. Lake conditions are perfect!
Monday Openings - Mondays are usually a day off at many lakefront places around here, but several are open today, including the Blind Swine Duck Creek at 9 am for breakfast, The Quarterdeck at Tera Miranda with their breakfast buffet from 8 to 2, and Mooney’s opens at Noon (meet for a Hangover Burger?).
No “Walk-In” Tours - In the pre-covid world, GRDA offered daily tours of the Pensacola Dam from Memorial Day through Labor Day. They are again offering tours, but only for groups that have made a reservation. Call (918) 782-4726 to do that.
Big Bass Bash! - This weekend is the annual Big Bass Bash, a tournament for all of us wanna-be pro anglers, where the big bass of the weekend wins $100,000! Yes, One Hundred Thousand Dollars! All the details, including registration, can be found HERE.
More Ahead - Other happenings this coming weekend include the annual Camp Bandage, the Lendonwood Garden Party, and another Kyle Williams Safe Boating Course. Info on all can be found on the Events page of the website HERE.
