This Week at Grand Lake - June 10, 2024

Good Morning!

We are cookin’ now! Not much rain in the forecast, lots of sunshine and temps in the 80s and 90s - summer is here, folks.

Which means, it is also almost fireworks season. You can tell by all the big tents popping up all over the place.

This means the 3 biggest shows on the lake are all looking for your support. Financial support, that is.

Lake Level - As of 7 am, the official lake level is 744.7’ with ongoing generation and no gates open. Water temps are in the mid 70s.

Golf Tournament - You couldn’t ask for a better day for the South Grand Chamber’s annual Shangri-La Golf Tournament, happening this (Monday!) afternoon. If you still want to play, contact the Chamber and see if they’ve got room for you.

Arcade Closed Today - New games are coming to The Anchor arcade. The arcade will be closed Monday, June 10 while they replace some of the games with new adventures! The sports bar, sporting facilities, bar games and Galley will be open; but the arcade will be closed while they install fun new options for the summer!

Newcomers Club 20th Anniversary - The monthly meeting of the Grand Lake Newcomers Club is Tuesday at 10 am at the Grove Community Center (104 W. 3rd) and will celebrate the 20th anniversary of the club. Brunch is included and highlights will include six past presidents sharing history & evolution of GLNC - including the founding president, mix and mingle activities, a photo gallery showcase, and professional harpist Lynn Barge. These monthly meetings on the second Tuesday of the month are open to all and visitors are always welcome.
