Gooood Morning!
It is Grand Lake’s time to shine - warm mornings and evenings, hot afternoons, perfect water conditions, lots of places to go on the lake, and, oh yea, fireworks.
I’m coming to you a little earlier this morning because the family is here and we’ve got wakes to ride, so hitting the water here in a few.
But I think I’ve got most everything you need to know for the next few days down below.
So, a Hap Hap Happy Independence Day to all of you!
Get out there and enjoy this fantastic lake — but remember, head on a swivel, it is going to be busy out there.
And here is what you need to know for this July 4th week at Grand Lake (and, remember, if you are new around here I’ll be back Friday morning with everything you need to know for the weekend ahead):

Lake Level - As of 6 am, the lake level is 744.2 with no generation. Lake temps are in the 80s and conditions are perfect!
Boating Safety - Safety first, and to that end, HERE is your annual reminder from GRDA to boat safe, boat smart, and boat sober. Plus, reminders and maps with Duck Creek rules, Woodard Hollow rules, and everything else you need.
Food Trucks - Marina Del Rey Resort near Ketchum is hosting their 3rd annual Food Truck Round-Up starting Wednesday and running through Saturday the 6th, from 11 am to 8 pm each day. Plus their pool is open ($10 day pass) and they have courtesy slips if you want to come by boat. There is a number posted at the docks for you to call and they will pick you up and take you up the hill to the fun.
Fireworks Schedule (on the water):
Wednesday - Grove’s July 3rd Celebration, starting at 6 pm at Wolf Creek Park
Thursday - The legendary Duck Creek Fireworks and Fly-Over - Check out the Schedule of Events HERE and don’t forget you can catch all of the planes in the flyover (well, except the F-16) at the South Grand Lake Regional Airport Thursday afternoon.
Friday - Grand Lake Fireworks in Disney and Monkey Island Fireworks at Shangri-La
Saturday - Gran Tara Fireworks and Horse Creek Fireworks
Quick Hits
Mooney’s is open for lunch at Noon every day except Tuesday this week when they will open at 4 pm.
Blind Swine Duck Creek is closed today (Monday) but opens at 11 am the rest of the week.
The Island Bar and Grill at The Landings Marina opens at 10 daily for lunch.
Juan Montez at Red Arrow Marina is your place on the water for great Mexican food. They open Wednesday at 11 am for lunch.
Sharky’s will be open Wednesday with DJ Lippe at 8 pm. They will close at 6 pm on the 4th for the Duck Creek Fireworks.
Eddy’s will be open Thursday for a Shrimp Boil at 6 pm with live music from Western Justice at 7 pm.
The Quarterdeck at Tera Miranda will open at 4 on Wednesday and 11 am on Thursday and Friday this week.
The Monkey Bar is now open 7 days a week on Monkey Island (formerly the Monkey Island Pub).
Robbi Bell will be live at Big Shots Wednesday night at 8, with DJ K Bandito lighting things up at 10.
Wednesday is Cajun Crab Boil at Blind Swine Duck Creek - 5 pm
Singo at Pickles in Langley is on Wednesday at 6 pm
Cocktails and Karaoke at The Blind Swine - Wednesdays at 9 pm
Drunken Rooster has live music from The Stars Thursday night.
Thursdays are now Crab Legs and Karaoke with DJ Kennedy Rockstar Karaoke at the reopened Island Bar and Grill at The Landings on Monkey Island.
DJ Night is Thursday at Blind Swine Monkey Island.
Thursday is Karaoke night at Drunken Rooster.
