Good Morning - And Happy Birthday, America!
We’ve still got a couple of days and nights of Independence Day celebrating before we get a couple of days of rest before yet another Grand Lake weekend.
Luckily I spent some time yesterday afternoon putting most of this together because… we are all about that early morning boat ride and wakeboarding around here.
It’s a perfect morning out there!
So if you are down by the spillways near Disney or over along the opposite shore near The Points and Eagles Roost by Ketchum Cove (depends on the wind), and you see a sexy Hurricane deck boat out there with some folks boarding and skating their morning away, that’s us - Give us a wave! (Or maybe throw us some bacon!)
Also, there are air shows the next couple of evenings near the mouth of Duck Creek. HERE is a link below so you can see the schedule, a map of restricted areas that must be clear of boats, etc.
But what I wanted to tell you is that on the early schedules, there was a pending F-16 flyover at 7:15 on Tuesday night, but it looks like that has been removed from the schedule.
But that’s alright, the air show is cool, and there is nothing quite like the warbirds rumbling through Duck Creek and around the lake.

Lake Level - As of 6 am, the lake level is 744.03’ with minimal intermittent generation. Water temps are in the 80s. Enjoy!
What’s Happening Today (Monday) -
Duck Creek Air Show at 6:30 pm.
Grove July 3rd Celebration starts at 6 at Wolf Creek Park with live music, free watermelon, games, and more leading up to fireworks at dark.
Grand Lake Fireworks in Disney at dark!
What’s Happening ON the 4th (Tuesday) -
Warbirds fly-in and viewing from 4 to 6:30 at South Grand Lake Regional Airport in Ketchum.
Duck Creek Air Show at 6:30 pm.
Duck Creek Fireworks at dark.
Willow Park Marina Fireworks in Ketchum Cove at 9 pm. (That’s what their flyer says…)
Food Truck Round-Up - The Food Truck Round-Up at Marina Del Rey Resort near Ketchum continues Monday and Tuesday. There are several trucks on hand with some great food, and you can get there by boat. Perfect!
Extended Openings - Going beyond their usual hours, Mooney’s will open at Noon today (Monday!) and as usual on Tuesday through the rest of the week, and Sharky’s will also open at Noon on both Monday and Tuesday, before being closed Thursday and Friday.
Drag Boat Races - Peeking ahead to next weekend, get ready for some exciting drag boat racing action at Wolf Creek Park in Grove on Saturday and Sunday. And, you’ll get a great chance to check out some of the boats before that at Food Truck Friday in Dowwntown Grove on Friday evening where several boats will be on display.
