This Week at Grand Lake

Summertime heat is here...

Bright sun at Grand Lake OK

Good Morning!

Well then, it’s been a hectic weekend.

A quick trip to KC, time with the grandkids, and even found a way onto the lake for a bit yesterday afternoon. Perfect.

And, I just went and watched my son take off flying solo from the airport in Ketchum this morning. Pretty, pretty, pretty cool. That’s why today’s email is a little later than usual.

I want to say Hi and Welcome this morning to a new batch of subscribers. I’m not sure if one or some of you did a strategic sharing of Friday’s email or what, but there are about 30 new subscribers this morning, so thanks for that, and welcome to the newcomers.

And, please do share these newsletters with anyone you know who digs themselves a little Grand Lake Livin’.

So, yea… hot and dry. That’s the forecast. As it is every year at the end of July.

But that’s why we are at the lake, right?

I know the family caught some crappie this weekend, I’ve heard stories of people getting into the white bass, and it’s a perfect time for those morning wake sessions. Just sayin’…

Alright, that’s enough from me.

Let’s get to it. Here is what you need to know for this week at Grand Lake (hint: it’s a pretty quiet week) -

Today’s Email is Sponsored By:

Do you have tree issues? If so, Bryce and his guys at Clippers Tree Service are the call you need to make. HQ is in Vinita, but if you’ve got tree problems or even a big project to clear a lot of trees, they have the equipment and the manpower to get your job done. Give them a call, you’ll be glad you did. (918) 261-3574.

Lake Level - As of 9 am, the lake level is 744.2’ with little to no generation. Water temps remain summertime warm.

New Student Enrollment - It is happening Tuesday and Wednesday of this week at the Grove HS Performing Arts Center from 9 am to 3 pm each day. This is for all grade levels.

Chamber Meeting - The monthly South Grand Lake Chamber meeting is Thursday at 11:30 am at the GRDA building in Langley. It is always asked that you RSVP to the Chamber if you plan to make the meeting.

Yoga - Thursday evening yoga at 6 at Thousand Oaks Resort is open to everyone. Mats are even provided. Whether you are experienced in the practice, or a new guy (or gal) like me, everyone is welcome. Follow the signs to the Black Oak Barn in back. Namaste.

Nunsense II - Seating for Nunsense II at Playmakers are filling up fast. Remaining performances are coming up on July 28, 29, and 30, plus August 4th and 5th. To reserve your seats now, call and leave a message at (918) 786-8950 or email [email protected].

Grove Public Library always has a busy week. Yoga, arts and crafts, and plenty more are on this week’s schedule. Check out their FB page HERE for ongoing events and details.

A Place For The Young Adults - I told you about this Friday, but I think it needs repeating. Bella Donna’s in Grove is going to start designating Sunday evenings as Game Night for Young Adults. It's a Safe, Fun, Carefree Atmosphere where YA's can be themselves and not worry about being chased away and it's a safe haven from drugs, crime, and bad company. You can read the Facebook post announcing this great venture HERE.
