- This Week at Grand Lake
Good Morning!
Have you been outside yet? It’s cool and gorgeous out there - and how about that Sunday weather? Sweet!
Obviously, we’ve got Labor Day Weekend barreling down on us, the return of football season (Rock Chalk!), and what some argue is the absolute best time of the year at Grand Lake just around the corner.
I shared with you on Friday the updated website and I worked this weekend to get several upcoming events, including a couple of golf tournaments, added to the Events page to help you plan your Fall. You can see those HERE.

But enough of all that, here is what you need to know for this week at Grand Lake, which is really pretty quiet leading up to the weekend.
Lake Level - As of 7 am, the lake level is 743’ with no generation. The lake conditions couldn’t be more perfect heading into a holiday weekend.
Trivia Time (Almost) - There is going to be a trial run for a Trivia Night next Tuesday, September 5 from 6-9 PM at Bella Donna's in Grove. Apparently, they need a guarantee of 15 to 20 teams to make it a thing. There are several committed, but they could use a few more. So, get your team together and let them know you are in. As a bonus, that is also the day that Bella Donna’s will be filmed for their episode of American’s Best Restaurants that they won last May. Awesome!
Yoga - Thursday evening yoga at 6 at Thousand Oaks Resort is open to everyone. It’s a donation-based class and mats are even provided. Everyone is welcome. Follow the signs to the Black Oak Barn in back. Namaste.
Chair Yoga - There is also now a Chair Yoga practice offered on Monkey Island. It takes place on the 11th floor at Vista Towers on Monkey Island every Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 9:30 am for one hour. The cost is $12 per session!
Grove Public Library always has a busy week. You will find family yoga, chair yoga, tai chi, an adult craft night, and plenty more on this week’s schedule. Check out their FB page HERE for ongoing events and details.
Grand River Dam Paddle! - It’s coming up Saturday on the river below the Dam. Details and registration HERE.
Boats, Beats and BBQ - Big doings in Grove this weekend, and because of all the action, it is my understanding that the boat ramps at Wolf Creek Park will be closed to the public. So, if you are coming to the lake to do lake things, or are planning on using that ramp on Saturday and Sunday, you will need to make other arrangements.
