This Weekend at Grand Lake - Ready For The Cold?

Here are some inside ideas...

Good Morning!

You ready?

Sounds like we are going to go below freezing sometime tomorrow (Friday!) around here and not get back above freezing until maybe next Wednesday afternoon.

The good (?) news is it doesn’t sound like there will be a lot of snow, but definitely dangerous — to both you and your property — temperatures.

As a reminder of what can happen, HERE is a post from almost 3 years ago now recounting the aftermath of the February 2021 cold snap.

So, you’ve still got a couple of days before the really, really cold gets here to take whatever precautions you need.

Also, I’ll be posting things below that are scheduled to be happening this weekend (OK, really not a lot), but make sure you call or check with whoever to make sure things are still happening. You never know!

On with it! Here is what you need to know for This Weekend at Grand Lake:

  • Emergencies - Dial 911

  • Tow Boat US Grand Lake - (918) 782-8600

Lake Level - As of 8 a.m., the lake level is holding steady at 743.3’, with no generation. That’s a little high for this time of year, so maybe they are storing water for the impending cold snap? Water surface temps are primarily in the mid to 40s.

A great way to stay warm and get those Grand Lake vibes rolling as there will be a pretty strong showing from Grand Lake area boat dealers and businesses. Details HERE.
