This Weekend at Grand Lake
Not as cold, I guess...
Good Morning!
Everything I had typed up out here just got deleted.
First... I’m hearing that the fire/fires are out…
BUT - there were boats on fire at Arrowhead Yacht Club marina this morning.
Pictures I’ve seen indicate that some fast-acting folks got the boats pushed out of the marina before it became a truly catastrophic event.
I’m not a thoughts and prayers guy - but ultimately good vibes and high fives to those who were on the scene and acted fast and did the right thing, plus anyone who has been impacted.
I’ve put a post together on the Grand Lake Living website HERE where I’ll update with information and any pictures I have permission to use.

Lake Level - As of 8 a.m., the lake level is holding steady at 742.6’, with some generation ongoing. Water surface temps are primarily in the mid to, gasp, lower 40s. (And some light icing in coves)
Business After Hours - Speaking of MYKC Live Bliss Yoga, there is a Grove Chamber Business After Hours at their new studio at 414 E. 3rd Street at 5 pm. See you there!
Dolly Day - Many Grove and Delaware County organizations and businesses are teaming up with Grove Rotary to celebrate “Dolly Day” tomorrow, Friday, January 19th, benefitting Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library program. Get all the details HERE.
Murder Mystery - Friday night, it’s time to take part in an interactive murder mystery dinner at Playmakers in Grove. What to expect and details on tickets can be found HERE. Although, it might be sold out… but it never hurts to ask.
Dine at St. Andrew’s - Friday night at 6:30, all are welcome at St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church in Grove for a Spaghetti dinner with salad and dessert at 6:30 pm. The cost is only $10, with proceeds benefitting local ministries, and kids under 5 eat free. Come on!
Ned Ledoux - The Winter Entertainment Series continues on Saturday night, January 20th, with a performance from Ned Ledoux at the Grove Performing Arts Center at Grove High School at 7 pm. Ned and his band will be performing both his new songs from his album plus some of his dad’s Chris Ledoux music. Details on tickets are HERE.
Dance and Youth Theatre Classes - The Playmakers’ Dance and Youth Theatre classes begin NEXT week on January 22nd. For details on classes and enrollment, go HERE now!

Yoga at Thousand Oaks Resort in Langley happens tonight (Thursday) at 6 pm and Sat morning at 10 at the Black Oak Barn in the back of the resort. Come on!
