This Weekend at Grand Lake - Welcome Back!

So, yea, a lot is going on this weekend, and, again, I’m getting a late start.

Best thing to do is just dive in, right?

Here is what you need to know for this Welcome Back Weekend at Grand Lake!

Lake Level - As of 9 a.m., the lake level is holding steady at 742.1’, with some generation. Water surface temps are mostly in the mid-40s and trying hard to warm up.

Cinderella - Tonight is the Opening night for “Cinderella” at the Grove High School Performing Arts Center (7:00 p.m.). Additional shows are scheduled for Saturday, March 2 at 7:00 and Sunday afternoon, March 3 at 2:30.

Golf Time! - The MYKC Golf Scramble and Personal Development Sessions happen tomorrow (Friday!) at The Battlefield and Shangri-La Resort. More details and get signed up HERE.

First Friday Wine Share - It’s First Friday time again in Grove, this month hosted by Rustic Rehab from 6 to 7:30 pm. Bring yourself, a glass, your favorite wine, and maybe an appetizer and join the fun!

Casino Night - Shake off the winter blues at MarineMax Grand Lake's Welcome Back Weekend Open House Casino Night on March 1 from 5-8. They’re bringing the casino to the lake with 21, craps, wheel of fortune, and more. Eat, drink, and roll the dice for a night to remember. Welcome Back Poker Run - The Welcome Back Weekend Poker Run is on Saturday, with a full day of fun scheduled. All the details are HERE.

WAAMI Chili Soup Fundraiser - The Women’s Auxiliary Association of Monkey Island will be holding its Chili/Soup Fundraiser on Saturday, March 2nd from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Lake Center Baptist Church on Monkey Island. There will be a variety of chilis (regular, spicy, white, etc.) as well as soups to choose from, along with a drink and dessert, for $10.00.Come get some grub and support WAAMI in all of its great community efforts!

Grand Opening at The Shops - Come join the fun at The Shops at Grand Meridian Grand Opening celebration, happening Saturday and Sunday, March 2nd and 3rd, from 11 am to 6 pm both days. Stop in and visit the first of several businesses (including Java Don’s, Grand Lake Fitness, and Sassy and Classy Bootie-Q to open at the new retail and office center! There will be Giveaway Drawings, Food Trailers, Fun, Games, and Much Much More! The Shops at Grand Meridian are located at 31842 S 4510 Rd, Afton, OK 74331.

Eagle Pass - You do know about all of the bald eagles that you can see doing their thing down below the dam this time of year, right? If not, here is some info on GRDA’s Eagle Pass for you.

• Donation based Yoga classes return tonight (Thursday) at 6 pm and Saturday at 10 am in the Black Oak Barn at Thousand Oaks Resort near Langley. All are welcome!

• COW Week Pickleball Tournament is this Saturday at The Anchor.

• Saturday is the debut of the “Saturday Night Game Show” competition hosted by Jason Morgan at The Anchor at Shangri-La beginning at 6:00.

• VIP Pizza at Hammerhead Marina is now open for the season.

• Trivia happens every Tuesday at The Anchor at 7 pm.

• The Grand Lake Boat Show AND The Grove Home and Garden Show are both happening March 8 - 10.

• Big Meat Run is set for the weekend of March 15 to 17.
