This Weekend at Grand Lake - It's Show Time!

It's time to Spring Forward!

Alrighty then… a little spring-like rain this morning and for the next day or so, then it sounds like a sunshiny weekend is on tap.

Sweet!

Word on the street (OK, Facebook. Facebook is the street) is that the crappie are biting.

Might need to check that out personally this weekend. I’ll let you know what I find out.

But, besides that, a busy March rolls on with a couple of ‘shows’ this weekend and lots happening all over the lake.

So, let’s get to it. Here is what you need to know for the weekend ahead at Grand Lake!

Lake Level - As of 9 am, the lake level is 742’ with a little generation. Lake temps are pushing the upper 40s.

Grand Lake Boat and Sport Show - It’s happening this weekend in Vinita at the Craig County Community Center at the fairgrounds. Hours are 10 to 6 on Friday and Saturday, 10 to 3 on Sunday. Lots of boats and everything else you need for your Grand Lake fun!

Grove Home and Garden Show - Also happening this weekend, it’s the Home and Garden Show, in Grove at the old Whoops location — 102 Lennel Drive. Hours are 3 to 7 on Friday, 10 to 6 on Saturday, and 11 to 2 on Sunday. A BUNCH of local vendors, contractors, and service providers will be on hand, making this a perfect chance to find someone to talk to about the project you are considering.

Dinner and a Dance - The Legacy Event Center in Grove is the place to be on Friday at 6 pm for Dinner and a Dance, featuring Jeff Tatum & The Palamino Moon Band. More info and buy tickets HERE.

Open for the Season! - Har-Ber Village Museum in Grove opens for the season at 9 am on Saturday. Visit their website HERE for all the info on upcoming events and programs happening throughout the year.

Bluegrass with Blue Pearl - The River Ridge Bluegrass Association is proud to present Blue Pearl, performing Saturday at 6 pm at Grove Middle School at 517 W 10th at 6 pm. Doors open at 5 PM with famous chili and pie available. Only $5 admission.

Reader’s Theatre - The next installment of Playmakers Reader’s Theatre performances happens this Sunday at 2 at Playmakers in Downtown Grove. More info on that is HERE.

  • COW Week Golf Tournament is Sunday at The Coves, the Basketball Tournament is Monday at 5 at Grove HS, and the Talent Show is Wednesday at 6 at the HS PAC.

  • Trivia happens every Tuesday at The Anchor at 7 pm and the Game Show Competition happens Saturdays at 6 pm.

  • Big Meat Run is next weekend!

  • There is a Wine Tasting and Food Pairing at White Buffalo Lodge in Grove next Saturday, the 16th, at 6 pm.
