This Weekend at Grand Lake - Bassmasters!

Good Morning!

Welcome to all you fishing pros and fishing fans who are checking in on Grand Lake this morning.

Besides the Bassmasters, it is a Spring Break weekend at the lake, plus some early Easter events happening as well.

And Spring is certainly springing all over the place - flowers are blooming, mowers are fired up, and there is certainly an itch in the eye, thanks to the allergies.

Anyway, no dilly dallying, let’s get to it… here is what you need to know for this Bassmaster Classic weekend at Grand Lake!

Lake Level - As of 7 am, the official lake level is 742.13’ with no generation. Lake temps are mostly in the mid-50s. Go get ‘em!

Bassmaster Classic - The Academy Sports + Outdoors Bassmaster Classic, presented by Toyota, is back! Launches take place at 7:15 am at Wolf Creek Park in Grove on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Here is more info, and be sure to get all the info you need on the 2024 Bassmaster Classic Home Page.

• Free Kickoff (Castoff?) Party featuring Stoney LaRue outside the BOK Center in Tulsa from 4:30 to 9 pm. Music starts at 6:30.

• Daily weigh-ins begin at 3:30 pm each day at the BOK Center.

• The Outdoors Expo at Cox Business Center opens at Noon on Friday and 10 am on Saturday and Sunday.

• HERE are details on how to watch the Classic, which includes LIVE TV from the lake (!) on FOX, Fox Sports 1, and Fox Sports 2 on Sunday. Very cool!

Spring Break OUT - The fun continues for the kids at Grand Lake State Park - Bernice Area today, tomorrow, and Saturday. Find out more HERE.

Blood Drive - The Grove Public Library is hosting a blood drive this Friday from 10:30 to 2 in the Conference Room. To make an appointment, visit https://obi.org/ or call 877-340-8777.

Easter Festival - Get ready for a fun and exciting early Easter Festival this Saturday, March 23rd, at 11 am at Marina Del Rey Resort near Ketchum. Bring the kids and enjoy great music by Yacht Club of Oklahoma, pictures with the Easter Bunny, and a magician! Fresh food will be available at Prime at the Pool! And, all proceeds benefit the Ketchum FFA program. Come on!

2 Hip Chicks - Get ready to shop til you drop at the 2 Hip Chicks Traveling Road Show, which makes a stop in Grove at the old Whoops location (102 Lanell Drive) on Saturday and Sunday from 9 to 4 each day. $5 at the door and kids are FREE. Boutiques, kid boutiques, jewelry, home decor, farmhouse, woodworking, metal art, yummy finds, a little junk, and one-of-a-kind surprises!

Food and Wine Festival - There is an awesome new event happening on the Lawn at The Anchor on Saturday evening, the Shangri-La Resort Food & Wine Festival. Tickets are $50 at the door ($35 for members) and you will be treated to a great night of food, spirits, and entertainment from Rockwell starting at 6 pm. Proceeds benefit the Delaware County Children’s Special Advocacy Network.

Boating Club Bingo - A Bingo fundraiser benefitting America’s Boating Club Grand Lake happens Saturday from 6 pm to 8:30 at American Legion Post 178 in Grove (114 Broadway). BINGO!

COW Week $$$ - Did you see that the Grove High School COW (Change Our World) Week kids raised an amazing $173,288.99 for the Community Crisis Center through their months of hard work and fun events? One word… WOW!

• Donation-based Yoga classes return tonight (Thursday) at 6 pm in the Black Oak Barn at Thousand Oaks Resort near Langley. All are welcome!

• Trivia happens every Tuesday at The Anchor at 7 pm and the Game Show Competition happens Saturdays at 6 pm.

• Mardi Gras in March, a benefit for the Ketchum Warriors Backpack Program by the South Grand Lake Foundation, happens next Thursday, the 28th.

• Lendonwood Gardens is looking for artists to display at Art in the Garden, which happens on May 4th.

• Celebrity Boxing Comic Con at Grand Lake? Yep, happening Memorial Day Weekend, and they are looking for vendors…

• The Grand Lake Family YMCA has scheduled a Triathlon for June 8th. Awesome!
