This Weekend at Grand Lake
Shaping up to be a beautiful Spring weekend
Good Morning!
It sounds like this warm Thursday morning is going to bring a little rain later today and overnight, but then it’s shaping up to be a beautiful weekend. Sweet!
Might have to go catch some crappie.
Hey - guess what?
The new Bernice Bridge is open!
It’s still a construction zone as they work on taking out the old bridge and such, but… no more stop light!
And there was much rejoicing!
With that, here’s what else you need to know for this weekend at Grand Lake":
This Week’s Sponsor:

Volunteers are asked to gather by the barn at the back of the garden for coffee and donuts. The annual spring workday, sometimes drawing up to 70 people, helps get the botanical garden ready for the tourist season. Specific projects at the spring workday will include such jobs as picking up downed branches, staining bridge decks, planting new plants, spreading mulch, weeding, cleaning benches, painting, clearing leaves from the stream, repairing pathways, and many other tasks. Supplies for the various projects will be available on site, although volunteers should bring their gloves and wear comfortable work clothes. Lunch will be provided, including grilled hot dogs, baked beans, chips and cookies. The workday usually concludes at about 2 p.m., but any amount of volunteer time is appreciated.
