This Weekend at Grand Lake
On to April!
Good Morning!
Another beautiful weekend looms as we roll into April here at Grand Lake. Awesome!
So last weekend I said I was going to go catch some crappie. Yea, that didn’t really work out so well.
I think the lake shooting up real quick disrupted our spot - and yes, we’ve got a spot. Don’t you?
But we’ll be back at this weekend.
For those of you who live around here - don’t forget to get out and vote next Tuesday.
There is a big school bond issue in Grove, a contested school board seat in Ketchum, and municipal elections throughout the area.
Your vote counts - but only if you vote the way I want you to! I’m kidding. Or am I?
Anyway, let’s get to it - here is what you need to know for this weekend at Grand Lake:
This Week’s Sponsor:
Grand Lake Love Wedding Venue is now setting dates for 2023 and beyond! Click the link to learn about Grand Lake’s newest venue, which offers a beautiful lakefront setting for your intimate wedding on Monkey Island.

Wake Up The Garden - Rescheduled to THIS Saturday morning (April 1st) at 8:30, all are invited to help ‘Wake Up The Garden’ at Lendonwood Gardens in Grove. Volunteers are asked to gather by the barn at the back of the garden for coffee and donuts. The annual spring workday, sometimes drawing up to 70 people, helps get the botanical garden ready for the tourist season. Specific projects at the spring workday will include such jobs as picking up downed branches, staining bridge decks, planting new plants, spreading mulch, weeding, cleaning benches, painting, clearing leaves from the stream, repairing pathways, and many other tasks. Supplies for the various projects will be available on site, although volunteers should bring their gloves and wear comfortable work clothes. Lunch will be provided, including grilled hot dogs, baked beans, chips and cookies. The workday usually concludes at about 2 p.m., but any amount of volunteer time is appreciated.
Get Your Grove On! - Enjoy an afternoon of praise and worship provided by a variety of area churches at the Get Your Grove On! event on the lawn at Grove City Hall on Saturday starting at 11 am. Food trucks will be there. Bring your own chairs! Lunch with America’s Boating Club - America’s Boating Club will be meeting for lunch at The Checkered Past in Downtown Grove at 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday April 5th. Everyone is welcome to come join us - you don't have to be a ABC-GL member - so grab a friend and come join the fun!
