This Weekend at Grand Lake
These nice weekends keep stacking up!
Good Morning!
Man, it’s been a pretty sweet run of weather, don’t you think? I mean, allergies, yes, but beautiful days, no doubt.
So, the time has come… I need help. Maybe it’s you, or someone you know.
To get started, and maybe it will stay this way, I need someone that has 2 or 3 or 4 hours per week to help me get content on the Grand Lake Living website.
We are talking things like getting events added to the events page, publishing new content, etc.
To start, all of the content will be provided, so it will mostly be copying, pasting, uploading pictures, etc.
I’d say the requirements would include a love for (or at least a strong liking) all things Grand Lake, good knowledge of the entire lake area, probably helps if you are on and know how to use Facebook, and if you have even just a little experience with WordPress, that would be a bonus.
The WordPress thing isn’t a deal breaker with the right person. It’s easy to pick up and I promise you won’t break the internet.
Obvs, you need to have a computer - this would be a work-from-home, coffee shop, dock, deck, or boat type of gig with no set hours.

Lake Level - As of 8 am, the lake level is 742.95’ with intermittent generation. The lake is murky with water temps in the mid-50s.
Eggs & Issues - Friday, April 14th from 8 - 9:15 a.m., come to St. Andrew's Episcopal Church, 555 E. 3rd St., Grove, for an Eggs and Issues Legislative Breakfast. This event is open to the public and the cost is only $5. Presented by Public Service Company of Oklahoma (PSO) and the Grove Area Chamber of Commerce. You needed to RSVP by yesterday to the Grove Chamber, but if you call now and ask nicely, they might let you in.
Scavenger Hunt - Saturday at 11 am is the annual Golf Cart Scavenger Hunt & Auction at The Shebang benefiting Second Chance Pet Rescue. I don’t know much about it, but I bet if you show up on a golf cart, they will get you rolling.
You Make My Frame Shake! - If you laughed a lot at The Playmakers’ “Speak Easy” Readers’ Theatre programs in January and February, or you heard about them, then get ready to let YOUR Frame Shake with even more laughter, premiering THIS WEEKEND! PERFORMANCE DATES: Sun. April 16, 2:00; Thurs. April 20, 7:30; Fri. April 21, 7:30; Sun. April 23, 2:00; Thurs. April 27, 7:30; Fri. April 28, 7:30; Sat. April 29, 7:30; Sun. April 30, 2:00. Restaurant Happenings - The Blind Swine on Duck Creek is back! Opening tomorrow (Friday!) for the seaon at 11 am. They will open at 9 am on Saturdays and Sundays. Also, Taco THURSDAYS are back at Tera Miranda, starting tonight. Lake season is here, folks!
Food Truck Tuesday - Next Tuesday at 5 pm head over to Langley City Park and take your choice among several food trucks that will be on hand. Awesome!
