Happy Mother’s Day Weekend to all of you Moms out there!
Might as well spread it out over the whole weekend, don’t you think?
What are some ways you can spoil Mom this weekend? Here are a few ideas:
Buy her stuff! Places like The Dam Hotel and Lake Bumz at the South end of the lake, and The Lakehouse and Flower Bar in Grove have all sorts of great gifts for the Moms in your life.
Nothing like a great lakefront meal, right? Maybe Bella Donna’s in Grove or Blind Swine on Duck Creek or even Mooney’s for a sunset and a burger and cold drink.
Boat rides. The answer is always boat rides.
And, my favorite, cook her things! Get to The Market at 216 Ranch or PRIME Meats, Eats, and Sweets in Ketchum and pick up some great steaks, plus all of the pre-made with love sides and desserts you need.
So, there you go… some ideas to help you out.

Lake Level - As of 7 am, the lake level is 742.7’ with intermittent generation. Lake temps are into the 60s. The target elevation moves to 744’ on June 1, so the lake might slowly start staying a little higher than it has been through the winter months.
Langley Tag Agency Closes - For years now, many of you have waited until the last minute to renew your boat tags, and have relied on Phil at Langley Tag to get it done. Well, you can’t do that anymore. After 20+ years serving South Grand Lakers, Langley Tag is closing it’s doors today for good. Or, at least until someone else takes it over. All the best, Phil!
Frontiersmen Days - American Frontiersmen Days at Har-Ber Village in Grove starts today with Education Day and continues on Saturday and Sunday. Learn more about that HERE. Also, Moms dig Har-Ber Village. Just sayin’.
Boat Show and Welcome Back - Willow Park Marina near Ketchum is having an In-Water Boat Show today (Friday!) and tomorrow, plus a Welcome Back Party on Saturday from 10 to 4 with food and live music. Their boat show will feature the NEWEST Tahoe Pontoon/Tritoon Line of boats and the one of a kind Sanger Wake surf boats from Oklahoma Outdoor World.
Safe Boating Classes - The FREE GRDA Kyle Williams Safe Boating Classes continue this Saturday at the GRDA Ecosystems building in Langley from 8 to 5. These are great for new boaters, young boaters, and those needing a refresher. Register HERE. If you can’t make this one, 4 more or scheduled later in the summer. Get those dates at the link above.
Grove Farmer’s Market - The Grove Area Chamber of Commerce's Farmers Market is every Saturday morning from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m on the Community Center lawn. There you can find a variety of home-grown and home-made goods and produce, including veggies and flowers, homemade breads, desserts, and lots more!

Popular Food and Drink Spot Updates - Yep, it’s lake season! Here is an update on many of the popular spots around the lake:
Mooney’s is open Tuesday at 4 pm and Wednesday through Sunday at Noon.
Sharky’s Bar at Hammerhead Marina is open for the season on the weekends.
Bella Donna’s in Grove and Danny’s Dockside Pizza in Grove have plenty of courtesy docks waiting for you.
The Pool Bar is now open (weather permitting) at Shangri-La Hotel and Resort.
Blind Swine on Duck Creek is now open Tuesday through Thursday at 11 am and Saturday and Sunday at 9 am at Harbors View Marina.
The Quarterdeck Café at Tera Miranda is open for the season (Thursday-Sunday), including the return of the Breakfast Buffet this Saturday and Sunday!
Ugly’s Grill & Bar at Thunder Bay Marina is open weekends.
