This Weekend at Grand Lake - May 10, 2024

Good Morning!

What a beautiful morning out there…

Alrighty then, the weekend is upon us and almost all of your favorite lakefront spots are now open (waiting on you, Eddy’s).

The lake is still pretty high, so be careful out there and have someone keep an eye out for debris - it can sneak up on you.

This is probably a good time to remind you about a TowBoat US membership - just in case! Call Steve at (918) 782-8600 and he can get you hooked up.

Anyhoo, from morning yoga to late-night shenanigans, this weekend has it all at Grand Lake.

Oh… and Happy Mother’s Day!

Lake Level - As of 8 am, the lake level was 748’ with, I think, 4 gates open. A lot of water is moving through. You can monitor this info yourself HERE. Lake temps are in the mid 60s.

Yoga on the Patio - Get your Saturday morning started the right way with Yoga on the Patio at Doc’s at Shangri-La with Laken Zimmerman at 8 am. All levels are welcome and it’s $10. Oh, and it is happening every Saturday morning through June, so that’s awesome. You can register HERE.

Bootleggers Ball - The South Grand Chamber’s annual Bootlegger’s Ball happens Saturday at Shangri-La Resort Hotel. I’m not sure if it starts at 5 or 6, but somewhere in there. Live table games, a live auction, dinner and drinks - a good time will be had all. If you want to attend, click HERE to get yourself tickets.

Ghost Tour at Har-Ber Village - Join paranormal researcher David Glidden at the haunted Har-Ber Village for a night of fear and excitement! The Midwest Mystery Tour is a public ghost hunt unlike anything you've experienced. It starts at 7 p.m. Saturday evening with a meet and greet that includes a presentation with David. Hear all of the chilling encounters at the museum and some of the most astounding evidence ever collected! At 9 p.m., the ghost hunting begins! During this time attendees will get the opportunity to participate in unique experiments and a chance to experience the ghosts of Har-Ber Village. The investigation will conclude at 2 a.m.. Yoga in the Park - And, to get your Sunday morning started the right way, there is Yoga in the Park at the Japanese Pavillion at Lendonwood Gardens every Sunday at 10 am. Fee is $0 for Lendonwood and Live Bliss Members, $5 for Non-Lendonwood but Live Bliss Members, and $20 for everyone else. Prepare to unwind, stretch, and connect with nature in this unique yoga experience. All levels are welcome!
