This Weekend at Grand Lake - May 17, 2024
It's starting to feel like summertime!
Good Morning!
It sure feels like a summer morning at Grand Lake - I like it!
And it is apparently going to feel like summer all weekend long, so let’s get after it.
The lake is back to near normal, water temps are perfect (after that first jump) for all of your favorite lake things, and there are plenty of things to keep you busy.
Let’s get right to it… here is what you need to know for this weekend at Grand Lake:
Trouble On The Water?
Emergencies - Dial 911
Tow Boat US Grand Lake - (918) 782-8600
GRDA Non-Emergency - (918) 256-0911
GRDA Lake Rules, updated 9/22
Today’s Sponsor:
H20 Sports Rental now has 4 locations to serve you in 2024 for all of your boat and watercraft rental needs. You’ll find them in Grove at Candlewyck Cove Resort and Honey Creek Landing Marina, on Monkey Island at Crown Pointe Marina, and their South Grand Lake location at Marina Del Rey Resort near Ketchum. Check out the H20 Website to see their full fleet of boats and reserve yours today!
Lake Level - As of 7 am, the lake level was 745.2’ with no gates open but full generation. Lake is in pretty solid shape with the holiday weekend approaching. Water temps are mostly in the upper 60s.
Incorporation? - Did you know there is a movement to incorporate Cleora? Well, there is, and they will be posting their Notice to Incorporate Cleora no later than Saturday morning. These notices are detailed and will be available for 30 days, and available at the following locations: Kahoots Country Store, Drunken Rooster Bar and Grill, and Java Don’s Gourmet Coffee. Take time and go review them. They include interesting Cleora history and town boundaries. I’m not sure if there is any kind of website, but HERE is a link to the Facebook page for the “Town of Cleora”.
Pop Up Vendor Event - This Saturday, from 10:00 to 4:00 at Spring Branch, 414 E. 3rd. Street in Grove, enjoy over 20 vendors, shopping, food, art, fitness & yoga, and a fun time! Hosted by The Monkey Buzz, LiveBliss Yoga, Grand Lake Barre, and Edge’d Up Barber with Ghetto Tacos on hand. Awesome!
Sounds of Summer! - The 3rd annual Sounds of Summer Car Show and Festival at Marina Del Rey Resort is Saturday from 1 to 6 pm. Bring the family and come hang out for the day and enjoy some classic cars, food trucks, live music from House Party, the Grand Opening of the new pool at the resort ($10 fee), and PRIME at the Pool, plus fun and games for kids of all sizes, with all proceeds from the event going to support the Ketchum FFA program. We’ll see you there!
Garden Party - The annual Lendonwood Gardens Garden Party Fundraiser is Saturday at 5:30, at the gardens. This is just a friendly reminder as tickets will not be sold at the gate, so hopefully you already have yours. To see if you can still attend, contact the good folks at Lendonwood Gardens.
Murder Mystery - The Death of a Gangster Murder Mystery dinner happens Saturday at Shangri-La Resort Hotel and Conference Center. Tickets are required – and maybe already gone – for this fun-filled night of mystery and suspense. Doors and the bar open at 6, dinner at 6:30, and show time is 7:30 pm. To see about tickets, call Charity Williams at (918) 257-7764.
Pickleball Mixer - The South Grand Lake Chamber’s Pickleball Mixer, which was rained out a couple of weeks ago, will happen this Sunday at 2 at The Anchor. Contact the Chamber if you want to see if you can still get in.

Fun & Entertainment
