This Weekend at Grand Lake - June 7, 2024

Good Morning!

Well then, here we go… it is an action-packed weekend around the lake - especially in Grove, so we are going to jump right in.

And the next couple of days are definitely going to feel like summer as well, with temps into the 90s.

So, get out there, have fun, find some shade, stay hydrated, and keep your head on a swivel.

It’s going to be a fine Grand Lake summertime weekend, and here is what you need to know:

Lake Level - As of 7 am, the lake level was 745.2’ with no gates open and ongoing generation. Lake temps are in the mid 70s. Awesome!

American Heritage Music Fest - Har-Ber Village Museum in Grove is the place for the 27th Annual American Heritage Music Festival, hosted by Jana Jae, today and tomorrow. This event will feature a world-class fiddle contest and several Bluegrass Bands on your choice of three stages! Music is ongoing all day Friday and Saturday, plus there will be heritage skills demonstrations of everything pioneer era! Tickets are only sold at the door. Special price of $7.50 per person. Toes in the Grand - Let’s see… boat races, food trucks, vendors, live music, a sprint triathlon, a car, truck and bike show, a semi-truck show and shine, a beer garden, a kids zone. What did I leave out? It’s all happening at Wolf Creek Park in Grove over the next few days. HERE is a link to the press release they put out with all the details.

Barkaritaville - The annual Barkaritaville fundraiser benefitting Second Chance Pet Rescue of Grand Lake is tonight at Honey Creek BBQ in Grove. The Cheeseburger in Paradise dinner also features a great auction and live music from Brett n Terri. This usually sells out, but it looks like there are still selling tickets HERE.

Ann - Tonight (Friday) is the premier of Ann, a one-woman show, at Grove Playmakers Theatre. It’s the rousing story of Ann Richards, and you don’t want to miss it. There are several other performances over the few weeks. Details and how to get tickets HERE.

• Yoga in the Garden at Lendonwood Gardens happens Sunday morning at 10 at the Japanese Pavillion.
