This Weekend at Grand Lake
Let The Party Begin!!

Good Morning!
Well then. You ready to do this?
Lots of people, lots of families and friends getting together, lots of music, lots of fireworks, lots of memories to last a lifetime getting made over the next several days at Grand Lake.
My advice is to keep your head on a swivel, both on land and on Grand, as there are always some newbies out there.
The other thing I’d tell you is if you want a quiet and peaceful time on the lake, you better be up early taking in the daybreak and sunrise, like in that picture above.
And for you fireworks fanatics… if you could just try to be done by 10:30 or 11, that’d be great. Appreciate it. (The dogs do, too)
That’s enough from me, here is what you need to know to kick-off your Independence Day celebrations this weekend at Grand Lake:
(And, remember, I’ll be back in your inbox on Monday morning with more info for the days ahead)
Trouble on the Water?
Emergencies - Dial 911
Tow Boat US Grand Lake - (918) 782-8600

This Week’s Sponsor:
When you sign on with BranamUP Automatic Boat Covers - the original, completely custom, automatic boat cover company - your Grand Lake Livin’ gets easier. Push a button, give it 15 seconds, and get after it. Awesome.

Lake Level - As of 8 am, the lake level is 744’, with no generation and the lake temps are into the 80s. Perfection!
Dedication - Hopefully you are already on your way there, but this morning at 10 am is the Dedication and official Grand Opening of the new Battlefield Golf Course at Shangri-La, which is getting rave reviews. Speakers, refreshments, and the opportunity to check out the course. All are welcome!
Food Truck Roundup - The 2nd annual Food Truck Roundup at Marina Del Rey Resort happens from July 1st through the 4th at the resort on the South end of Grand Lake near Ketchum. There will be 8 different food trucks to choose from, and the best part is you can come by land or by GRAND! Just park at the courtesy docks and there will be a shuttle available to take you up the hill to get some great grub. There will be plenty of tables and shade so you can enjoy your food right there! HERE is a link to the Facebook Event page, of you want or need updated.
Bobberland - Saturday afternoon you can head to the back of Duck Creek for a little raftout action with your friends at Bobberland. Live music from Brett and Terri and good times.
Fireworks Schedules - Wondering where some organized fireworks are on the lake. Head on over to the Events page on the Grand lake Living website to check out all that I know about, including details on the Sunday night Monkey Island Fireworks, and the Duck Creek Air Show happening Monday and Tuesday nights. Plenty of unorganized chaos will be happening as well. You can count on it.
Safe Boating Reminders - As GRDA continually says, boat safe, boat smart, and boat sober. HERE is a page on the GRDA website with some safe boating tips, plus your Duck Creek and Woodard Hollow rules and maps. Further down is a link to ALL of the GRDA rules, if you want some light reading.
Saturday Market in Langley - The Saturday Morning Market in Langley, which for years has been at The Artichoke, is now located on the lot immediately to the north of Reasor’s. Starting at 9 am and now with more parking and visibility, this is a great location. All of the same great vendors (and More!) will be on hand to bring you the goods.
Saturday Morning Yoga - Get your zen on with a gentle yoga session happening every Saturday at 10 am in the Black Oak Barn at Thousand Oaks Resort in Langley. It is taught by professional yoga instructor Missy Martin and is suitable for any skill level and even for first-timers. This class is FREE (donations encouraged) for resort guests AND locals. This is an 18+ class and the property is 18+.
Grove Farmer’s Market - The Grove Farmer’s Market now has shade (!) and happens every Saturday morning from 9 am to 2 pm on the community center lawn in Downtown Grove.
