This Weekend at Grand Lake - July 5, 2024

Good Morning!

Well… that had to be an adventure for a lot of you!

The Duck Creek Fireworks started a little early in coordination with nature’s fireworks, a little rain, and it was pretty darn cool.

Another impressive show - as always. Thanks to Joe and his crew at Arrowhead for coordinating the show every year and thanks to all of you who donated.

But… we aren’t done yet. We’ve got 2 more nights of fireworks lighting up the sky, so read on below for the details.

Plus, everything else you need to know for this weekend at Grand Lake!

Lake Level - As of 7 am, the lake level was 744.26’ with no gates open and minimal generation. Lake temps are just like bath water - pretty much in the 80s all over.

Food Truck Round-Up - This now annual event continues through Saturday at Marina Del Rey Resort near Ketchum, from 11 am to 8 pm each day. And, their pool is open ($10 day pass) and they have courtesy slips if you want to come by boat. There is a number posted at the docks for you to call and they will pick you up and take you up the hill to the food and fun. I believe there are 8 or 9 different trucks on hand, so a great variety - check it out!

Fireworks Schedule (on the water):

• Friday - Monkey Island Fireworks and Family Fun & Food Festival at Shangri-La get started on the Grand Lawn at 6 pm with fireworks at dark.

• Friday - Grand Lake Fireworks between the spillways in Disney.

• Friday - Blue Bluff Harbor Fireworks (w/Eddie Valen Band)

• Saturday - Gran Tara Fireworks and Horse Creek (Unfinished Bridge) Fireworks

Grand American Concert - The Grand American Concert is happening Saturday at 6 pm at Mountain Mamas, just East of Disney. General admission entry is free for the 3 bands, but, of course, there is a VIP option. Get all the details HERE.

Briefs:

• First Friday Wine Share happens tonight in Grove at White Buffalo Lodge at 6 pm.

• Lawn-a-thon Family Fun games happen at The Anchor on Friday and Saturday afternoons, all summer long.

• Grove Farmer’s Market is at 8 am on Saturday in Downtown Grove.

• The Saturday Market in Langley happens at 9 am, just north of Reasors.

• Singo! happens at The Anchor Saturday afternoon at 3.

• Yoga in the Garden at Lendonwood Gardens happens Sunday morning at 10 at the Japanese Pavillion.

• Word on the street is that Aquapalooza is not happening this year. Not sure on that, I’ll let you know…

• Hearing rumors of a benefit poker run later in July. I’ll keep you updated.

• Also hearing rumors of a Ketchum Cove Splash Bash later this month.

• Woodstock on the Water is set for August 10th.

• Grand River Dam Paddle is set to return to Langley in 2024 on Saturday, August 31st! Find out more HERE.
