Gooood Morning!
Well then… the heat has decided to c’mon back, so we might as well take advantage, don’t you think.
It’s going to be a great weekend to be on the water early and often, soaking up that Grand Lake summertime.
There isn’t any organized chaos like last weekend, so you are on your own to find the fun, but those typically end up being the best lake days. At least in my experience.
But there are still things happening.
So, here is the important stuff that you need to know for this weekend at Grand Lake…

Do you know about the big event happening specifically for paddlers Labor Day Weekend here at the lake? Well, actually on the river below the dam. All skill levels and paddle crafts are welcome! Lake Level - As of 8 am, the lake level is 743.8’, with some generation and the lake temps are still up there.
Dink and Drink - Tonight (Friday!) is a Pickleball mixer at The Anchor. Yes, it is a real thing, and it starts at 8 pm. It is free for Shangri-La members, and $15 per person for the rest of us. I’m guessing you need to buy your drinks either way. Anyway, a little pickleball, some cold drinks, and good times sounds like a perfect start to your Grand Lake weekend.
Open House - Saturday, from 11 a.m. - 3 p.m., head over to St. Andrew’s Academy Grove (701 S. Center, across from Grove Upper Elementary) for an Open House and BBQ! Check out the amazing, newly remodeled facilities and, while you're there, enjoy some free grub and fun for the kiddos. St. Andrew’s Academy is a safe, healthy and fun 5-Star rated child care facility in Grove.
Sunday Shrimp Boil - Head to Willow Park Marina in Ketchum Cove Sunday starting at Noon for a Shrimp Boil and live tunes from Pullen Strings & Co. The plates of food are only $10. I mean, come on, it is like they are giving it away. Good times and good tunes in Ketchum Cove on a Sunday afternoon. See you there!
Saturday Morning Yoga - A free practice (well, donations are encouraged) takes place at 10 am every Saturday morning at The Black Oak Barn at Thousand Oaks Resort near Langley. Keep to the right and follow the signs to the barn. Everyone is welcome!
Saturday Market in Langley - The Saturday Morning Market in Langley, located on the lot immediately to the north of Reasors, starts at 9 am. All of the goodies!
Grove Farmer’s Market - The Grove Farmer’s Market now has shade (!) and happens every Saturday morning from 9 am to 2 pm on the community center lawn in Downtown Grove.
