This Weekend at Grand Lake

Well then… after talking about it for 8 months, the updated Grand Lake Living website is live!

And you are going to be completely…underwhelmed, lol.

The big changes came under the hood, where changes needed to be made as the web has rapidly evolved over the last few years.

And there is plenty to keep working on, images to be fixed, lots of content to be added and updated, etc. But it is a start.

And, if you go check it out - can you do me a favor?

If you find something wonky, or a link not working, or anything that looks out of place - please let me know.

That doesn’t just help me. It helps others who are looking for info like you.

And, if you have an area or regional business that is not included on the website, now is the time to get it added. Fall is a popular time at Grand Lake, and when you get your business added or renewed now, you are good through NEXT Labor Day. Timing is everything!

But let’s get to what you are really here for, and that is what’s happening this weekend at Grand Lake…

Lake Level - As of 8 a.m., the lake level is 743’, which is the target elevation for this time of year. There is little to no generation and the lake temps are still up there.

In-Water Boat Show - Ugly John’s is hosting a multi-dealer in-water boat show this weekend, starting today and running through Sunday. 918 Boats, Nichols Marin, Grand Lake Boat Sales, and, well Ugly John's, will all have boats on hand representing 20 different brands and almost 50 boats. And there will be fun for the whole family with inflatables, boat demos, jet boards and go boats. Come on!

Comedy Show - Get ready to laugh out loud with the legendary Copenhagen Bandit tonight (Friday!) at The Copper Penny in Ketchum. You are encouraged to get your tickets in advance HERE. The show starts at 8, but the doors open at 4 for pre-game. See you there!

Rodeo Season - As I told you Monday, it is Rodeo season at Grand Lake. There are professional rodeos tonight and Saturday night in Vinita, Grove, and Miami. I’m still confused on why they can’t spread these out throughout the year. Anyway, Google or Facebook will help you get details on the rodeo you want to attend.

Pet Adoption Event - Come on out to Rustic and Rebellious in Grove on Saturday from Noon to 5 to find your special pet! Let’s get together and as a community find these special pets their FurEver homes. *Adoption Fees will apply- This covers Spay/Neutering, Vaccines, and the pet being microchipped.

Saturday Morning Yoga - A free practice (well, donations are encouraged) takes place at 10 am every Saturday morning at The Black Oak Barn at Thousand Oaks Resort near Langley. Keep to the right and follow the signs to the barn. Everyone is welcome!

Saturday Market in Langley - The Saturday Morning Market in Langley, located on the lot immediately to the north of Reasors, starts at 9 am. All of the goodies!

Grove Farmer’s Market - The Grove Farmer’s Market now has shade (!) and happens every Saturday morning from 9 am to 2 pm on the community center lawn in Downtown Grove.
