Summer's Grand Finale...
Good Morning!
Well then… there really is something for everyone this Labor Day Weekend at Grand Lake.
From paddleboard races (canoes and kayaks, too!) to bull riding right next to the lake, to a go-fast Cigarette Owner’s run — that pretty much runs the spectrum.
Of course, football season kicks off as well, the crappie are biting, and the lake conditions are perfect for whatever you want to do.
So come one, get out there, and take in the last of the summer fun for 2024.

Lake Level - As of 9 am, the lake level is 743.07’ with little to no generation. Lake temps are in the 80s and it is shaping up to be a great weekend on the water.
Bullfest - Bullfest at the Lake happens Friday and Saturday at Wolf Creek Park in Grove. Gates open at 4 p.m., and the bull riding action starts at 6 p.m. General admission tickets are $25. Attendees will enjoy a variety of food trucks, a beer garden, and live music to keep the party going long after the bullriding ends. For more information and to purchase tickets CLICK HERE. Oh, and by the way, there has been a little kerfuffle on Facebook, but boat ramps will be open all weekend long.
Dam Paddle - The 2nd annual Grand River Dam Paddle (GRDP), happens Saturday morning on the Grand River below the Pensacola Dam. Paddlers of all skill levels will participate in various race categories, including SUP, kayak, and canoe. This year’s event will feature races in three categories: the 1K, 5K, and the challenging 11.5-mile long course. Get more info and you can still get signed up HERE.
Cigarette Run - The first annual Cigarette Midwest FREEDOM RUN is happening on Saturday from 10 to 4. This free event invites Cigarette boat owners to start their engines and participate in a run to the dam and back from 11 AM to Noon, beginning and ending at the No Wake Zone in Woodard Hollow. Following the run, there will be a raft-up from Noon to 4 PM, with a complimentary lunch served from the Cigarette Midwest dock. All participants must register, and you can do that HERE.
Library Happenings - There is always something happening at the Grove Public Library. HERE is a link to the August newsletter and schedule.
Briefs:
Bradford’s BBQ at the Ketchum Eats Food Park is trying out a little Thursday lunch today from 11 to 2. Brisket, pulled pork, sausage, hot links and all the sides. Yum!
Tonight (Thursday!) is a Food Truck Night in Disney. Several trucks will be on hand - go get your grub on!
The Bernice Nature Center at Grand Lake State Park is having an End of Summer outdoor bash all weekend long. Here is the info.

The Island Bar and Grill at The Landings is starting to serve breakfast this weekend at 9 am on Saturday and Sunday.
Grove Farmer’s Market is at 8 am on Saturday in Downtown Grove.

Yoga in the Garden at Lendonwood Gardens happens Sunday morning at 10 at the Japanese Pavillion.
