Hey, hey, hey… it’s Labor Day (Weekend) at Grand Lake!
The weather is perfect, the water is perfect, there are some fun events happening, and all of your favorite watering holes and restaurants are ready for you.
A Big Thank You to all of you who offered some helpful feedback and let me know of some links not working on the updated website. I think we are rolling now.
It’s a holiday weekend - so let’s get to it.
Oh… and you know what? I’m taking Monday off so there won’t be an email. I’ll try to cover what you need to know for early next week below.

Lake Level - As of 7 a.m., the lake level is 743’, which is the target elevation for this time of year. There is little to no generation and the lake temps are summertime perfect.
Food Truck Friday - It’s the last Food Truck Friday of the year in Grove on Friday night from 5 to 9 on the Community Center lawn. Lots of food trucks, live music from the AC/DC tribute band Back in Black, and a “Show and Shine” with some Formula 1 boats that are in town for the races this weekend. Come on!
First Friday Wine Share - The First Friday Wine Share knows no seasons, and the next one is tonight (Friday!) at Har-Ber Village at 6 pm. Bring a bottle, a glass, and maybe a snack and enjoy the fun!
Jana Jae Fiddle Camp & Music Fest - The fun starts tonight at Snider’s Camp and continues Saturday and Sunday at Foundation Free Will Baptist Church,north of Grove. Details and the schedule of events can be found HERE.
Grand River Dam Paddle - Conditions will be perfect Saturday morning for the first Grand River Dam Paddle on the river below Pensacola Dam. Registration starts at 7 am. Details HERE.
Boats, Beats, and BBQ - It’s a BIG party at Wolf Creek Park in Grove on Saturday and Sunday at Boats, Beats, and BBQ. There will be Formula 1 boat racing, a sanctioned BBQ competition, and lots of live music. In a rare Grand Lake twist, tickets are required… you can buy yours in advance on the event website HERE.
Boat Ramps Closed - Because of the big party at Wolf Creek Park, the Wolf Creek boat ramps will be closed from, well, right now, until sometime later on Sunday. Boaters will need to find other access to the lake such as Tera Miranda, Honey Creek State Park, Elk River Marina, Southwinds Marina, and Red 11.
Saturday Morning Yoga - A free practice (well, donations are encouraged) takes place at 10 am every Saturday morning at The Black Oak Barn at Thousand Oaks Resort near Langley. Keep to the right and follow the signs to the barn. Everyone is welcome!
Saturday Market in Langley - It is the last Saturday Morning Market of the season in Langley, located on the lot immediately to the north of Reasors, starts at 9 am. All of the goodies!
Grove Farmer’s Market - The Grove Farmer’s Market now has shade (!) and happens every Saturday morning from 9 am to 2 pm on the community center lawn in Downtown Grove.
