We are rolling into the Fall season at Grand Lake, which means great boating and lots of activities.

And that includes this weekend, with all sorts of things to choose from.

Including Calf Fries. Yummy!

Might need to dodge a few raindrops along the way, but it looks to me like it is shaping up to be a fine weekend.

There is lots to get to, so here is what you need to know to make the most This Weekend at Grand Lake:

Lake Level - As of 9 a.m., the lake level is 742.9’, with ongoing generation. The lake is starting to cool off, but is still plenty warm for fun and play.

Business After Hours - Grand River Abstract and Title at 2100 S. Maint Street is the host for tonight’s (Thursday) Business After Hours in Grove, from 5 to 6:30 pm. This is a Chamber event, so quickly RSVP to the Grove Chamber at (918) 786-9079.

Fall Open House - It’s a Fall Open House kind of weekend in Grove, with great deals, discounts, and drawings at participating businesses throughout Grove. You can click HERE to go to the Chamber’s Facebook page and see the participating merchants and their deals.

Chamber Golf - Tomorrow (Friday!) is the South Grand Lake Chamber’s annual Coves Golf Tournament at, well, The Coves. Lunch and registration are at 11 with a shotgun start at Noon. Contact the Chamber at (918) 782-3214 to see if there is still room for you or your team.

Potter’s Guild - The Vinita Potter’s Guild is having a Grand Opening celebration on Friday night from 5 to 7 at their new location, 121 S. Wilson St. in Vinita. There will be food and drinks, live demos, tours, and drawings.

Pioneer Days - It is time again for the 11th annual Pioneer Days at Har-Ber Village in Grove. Friday (which is sold out) is reserved for educational groups, but Saturday and Sunday are open to the public. Go HERE for more details, including info on the different demonstrations you can expect to find.

World’s Largest Calf Fry - It is all going down this Saturday in Vinita at the Will Rogers Rodeo Grounds starting at 10 am. Tons of fun to be had, including the World’s Largest Calf Fry Cook-Off and an IBCA BBQ Cook-Off, plus Kids Activities, Vendors, Live Music, Pony Express Horseback Relay Race, TK Pro Rodeo Bull Buck Out, and fun for the whole family.

Benefit Concert - Saturday, starting at 6 pm, the Drunken Rooster will be hosting a benefit concert for Ryker and Fallon Mullinax, the children of popular Ketchum area resident Nick Mullinax, who recently tragically passed away. There will be a Silent Auction from 6 pm to 9 pm, plus: 6 pm Quin Peterson Duo; 7 pm Live Auction; 8:30pm Jump Suit Love. ***For those who aren’t able to attend but would like to donate, there is a memorial fund for Ryker and Fallon Mullinax at BancFirst, 110 W Ketchum Ave. Ketchum OK, 74349.

Cedar Port Customer Appreciation Party - It is this Saturday night from 6 to 10 with great BBQ and live music from House Party. If you haven’t already, please RSVP to Cedar Port Marina at 918-435-8250 and let them know you’ll be there.

Yoga - A free practice (well, donations are encouraged) takes place at 6 pm on Thursdays and 10 am every Saturday morning at The Black Oak Barn at Thousand Oaks Resort near Langley. Keep to the right and follow the signs to the barn. Everyone is welcome!

Grove Farmer’s Market - Saturday morning from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on the community center lawn in Downtown Grove.

Fore The Kids - The South Grand Lake Foundation is hosting its 1st annual “Fore The Kids” Golf Scramble this coming Monday, Sept 25th at The Coves, benefitting the Ketchum Warriors Backpack Program. It will be a beautiful morning for golf with registration starting at 8 am and a shotgun start at 9 am. Lunch and awards will follow. More details and registration info can be found HERE.

The Grove Public Library always has a busy week with activities for every age group. Check out their FB page HERE for ongoing events and details.

Bars and Restaurants - Updated info on popular Grand Lake spots:

  • Bella Donna’s in Grove has temporarily closed and is apparently moving to a new location. We’ll see where they land…

  • Mooney’s - Closed Mondays, Open at 4 on Tues & Wed, Open at Noon Thursday through Sunday. Kitchen closes at 9 nightly.

  • Blind Swine Duck Creek - September Hours: Fri: 11am-11pm, Sat: 9am-11pm, Sun: 9am-10pm

  • VIP Pizza is STILL OPEN.

  • Chickanellas is now open at their new Monkey Island location.

  • Eddy’s, Sharky’s, and Ugly’s are all closed for the season.
