Good Morning!
I thought I’d go ahead and get this out to you a day early this week, so I can be probably the 15th person to wish you a Happy Thanksgiving!
And I am very thankful for all of you great readers.
That includes the over 400 of you who responded to last week’s poll question and let me know that 59.39% of you consider yourself to be full-time Grand Lakers. A nice 60-40 split.
So, if you will humor me, I’ve got another one-question poll for you this week.
Again, your answers help me create and curate the best possible newsletter for YOU, which this is all about.

Lake Level - As of 9 a.m., the lake level is 742.6’, with some generation. Water surface temps are right around 50 degrees.
Wednesday Trivia - Trivia at Mooney’s has been moved up to Wednesday (Today!) this week, so if you’ve got a bunch of big-brained people visiting and need something to keep them entertained tonight, here you go. The fun starts at 7:30, and no cheating!
Thanksgiving Day Food - Here is a quick rundown on who is serving food on Thanksgiving Day in the area:
Doc’s at Shangri-La Buffet from 11 am to 7 pm
The Cove Club in Langley Buffet from 10 am to 3 pm
The Anchor at Shangri-La opens at 10 am for a day of fun and football.
Free Community Dinner at South Grand Lake Christian Church from 11 am to 1 pm
Free Thanksgiving Lunch at St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church in Grove from 11 am to 2 pm
R Bar Dance Hall and Saloon Thanksgiving Dinner for All - 2 to 6 pm
Ice Skating! - The Grove Ice Rink on the Community Center Lawn in Downtown Grove will open for the season on Friday night, November 24th and be open every Friday 6-10 PM, Saturday 3-10 PM, and Sunday 3-8 PM through Dec. 31st.
Santa’s Ozark Mountain Village - The holiday tradition returns to Har-Ber Village in Grove, beginning this Friday night at 5:30. Click HERE for more details, and to see about getting tickets in advance.
Christmas Lights - The popular drive-thru display at “Park of Lights” opens Friday night at Twin Bridges State Park and will be open nightly through December 30th. I actually haven’t seen a thing about the annual Winter Wonderland at Pine Lodge Resort. Not sue if that is happening this year or not.
Small Business Saturday - Just a reminder to support those small businesses in the Grand Lake area this holiday season. Especially those that support this here Grand Lake Living newsletter and website!
Yoga - No practice on Thursday this week but there will be a gentle flow on Saturday morning at 10 am to help with all of those calories. Happens at the Black Oak Barn at Thousand Oaks Resort near Langley.

Fishing Tournaments - GRDA has released an early list of upcoming 2024 fishing tournaments at Grand Lake that includes The Bassmaster Classic, The Big Bass Bash, and more. Check it out HERE.

Mooney’s has moved to Winter hours: Closed Monday and Tues, Open at 4 Wed & Thurs, and Open at Noon Friday - Sunday.
The Grill at Indian Hills has moved to Winter hours - Thursday through Sunday, 7 am to 2 pm.
Lights on Grove! Tree lighting is set for Friday night, Dec 1st at 6 pm.
The Ketchum Christmas Parade is Friday, Dec 1, and the Grand Lake Christmas Parade across the Pensacola Dam — from Langley to Disney — is Saturday, Dec 2nd.
The Gathering of Creators is set for Thursday, Dec 7th, at the PAC in Grove.
Mark your calendars for Dec 9th - the date of the Christmas Light Boat Parade in Duck Creek and the Grove Lighted Christmas Parade.
The Legacy Event Center in Grove is hosting its 2nd annual Christmas Party on Saturday, Dec 15.
