This Weekend at Grand Lake

Its December, and it is parade season...

Good Morning!

Alrighty then… on to December, which — at least for the first couple of weekends — is full-on parade season around Grand Lake.

And the weather for this weekend’s parades in Ketchum on Friday and across the dam on Saturday should be pretty OK, relatively speaking.

So, a couple of weeks ago we learned that of the over 4,000 of you that get these emails each and every week, it’s about a 60/40 split of full-time residents to not full-time residents.

And, last week I asked you about real estate (and thanks to the over 350 of you that responded) and we learned this…

Lake Level - As of 9 a.m., the lake level is holding steady at 742.6’, with minimal generation. Water surface temps are down to the upper 40s.

First Friday Wine Share - Head to St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church on East 3rd in Grove at 6 on Friday night for this monthly get-together. Just bring a glass and your favorite bottle, and maybe a snack to share. Always a good time!

Lights On Grove! - The annual Christmas Tree Lighting and community celebration is Friday night at 6 on the Community Center lawn.

Ketchum Christmas Parade - Happening Friday night at 6:30 down Hwy 85 in Ketchum, ending with cookies, hot chocolate, door prizes and Santa at Ketchum High School.

Oasis Christmas - Oasis Animals is proud to again host Journey to Jesus Oasis Christmas on December 2nd and 3rd at Oasis Animal Adventures near Disney. Walk through the Bethlehem Market and visit the petting zoo for photo opportunities with the animals of Oasis. Don’t miss this holiday fun!

Grand Lake Christmas Parade - The annual parade across the dam is Saturday night, starting at 6 pm in Langley and making its way across the dam to Disney, ending with Santa and lots of holiday cheer at American Bank.

Ice Skating! - The Grove Ice Rink on the Community Center Lawn in Downtown Grove is open this weekend Friday 6-10 PM, Saturday 3-10 PM, and Sunday 3-8 PM. Saturday is movie night with Elf starting around 6 pm!

Santa’s Ozark Mountain Village - The holiday tradition continues at Har-Ber Village in Grove this weekend on Fri and Sat nights. Click HERE for more details, and to see about getting tickets in advance. The Oklahoma Moon Band will be performing this weekend.

Christmas Lights - The popular drive-thru display “Park of Lights” at Twin Bridges State Park is open nightly through December 30th.

Harmonies & Harps - “2023 Holiday Harmonies and Harps” Christmas Concert Featuring Twice As Nice Harp Duo Linda Barton Paul and Annie Moch is this Sunday, December 3, 2023, 3:00 p.m. at St. John’s Episcopal Church in Vinita. Admission is free. An offering for CASA of Northeast Oklahoma will take place at the show. Free cookies and hot chocolate served afterwards.

Yoga - The Yoga at Thounsand Oaks Resort in Langley is canceled this week. Booo!
