This Weekend at Grand Lake - Jump in the Lake?

There is a Penguin Jump this weekend...

Good Morning!

So, a few things…

First, I got an email yesterday telling me there have been 233,800 (Wow!) impressions/views of this newsletter this year.

And that is just since May when I switched platforms.

So… THANK YOU to all of you readers. I do appreciate you!

Next, I came across some info a few days ago about States that have the most boaters.

The way they measured this was by looking at the number of registered boats per 100 residents.

Now, they had Washington D.C. as number one, weird, is that even a State? Number 2 is Maine, 3 is New Hampshire, and 5 is South Carolina.

OK. Those make sense.

But can you guess #4 on this list????

I bet you are thinking Oklahoma aren’t you… well, you’d be…

WRONG - Psych! It’s Nebraska! Bet you didn’t see that one coming, did you?

Oklahoma actually comes in at #27 on that list, with 8.2 registered boats per 100 residents.

Hey, at least we aren’t last like we are on all the health lists.

See the entire list for yourself HERE, but - warning - there are a lot of ads on that page and it loads slowly.

Finally, I screwed up a little bit with last week’s sponsor Shoreline Boat and RV Repair.

The mobile repair part of their business is specific to RVs and campers and such, while the boat repair part of their business still happens at their workshop in Tulsa.

What that means is that if you’ve got a rig or camper parked somewhere around the lake that maybe needs a little bodywork, or maybe you’ve got a roof leak or something, Shoreline Boat and RV Repair will come to you. No need to get your rig to them. That’s pretty awesome.

Alrighty then - on to what you need to know for This Weekend at Grand Lake!

Do you enjoy these newsletters? If so, maybe you want to buy me a coffee or 5 for my time in putting these together. It’s certainly not required, or even expected, but it’s always appreciated.
