This Weekend at Grand Lake

Alright... I hope you all had a Merry Christmas. I sure did - although it's been a busy time with stuff and things, so not quite ready on the new website yet.

Now, it's New Year's weekend with, conveniently, a Saturday night New Year's Eve.

Uh oh. Be careful out there.

I don't have much to ramble on about, but I do want to say this... THANK YOU to all of you who take the time to check out these emails every week.

And it's my plan to keep on bringing you the things you need to know to make the best of your Grand Lake Living (whether a short time or a long time) for years to come.

So, Happy New Year, and here is what you need to know for this weekend at Grand Lake!

Besides being open 6 days a week, including at 9 am on Saturday and Sunday for breakfast, The Cove Club in Langley now offers a banquet room to accommodate groups of up to 70 people! Lake Level - As of 9 am, the lake level is 742.27 with some generation. Lake temps are mostly in the low 40s.

Skate Again! - With the warmer temperatures (wait, what?) The Grove Ice Rink on the City Hall lawn is back open for the weekend. Skate rental is available and it will be open to the public from 4 to 9 on Fridays and Saturdays and 1 to 5 on Sundays through January 8th.

First Boat - The competition is sure to be fierce to take home the traveling Mooney's First Boat of the Year trophy on January 1. It's yours to keep for the whole year IF you are the first boat of the year. The seasonally balmy weather should make it interesting. FYI, they don't open until Noon on Sunday. (And I'm not sure of any rules...) Good luck!

Winter Wonderland - The annual Pine Lodge Resort Winter Wonderland light display continues nightly through this weekend. This is a Christmas light display you don't want to miss!

Park of Lights at Twin Bridges State Park is open nightly 6-9 pm thru December 30th. So many beautiful holiday displays. The participants have truly outdone themselves! Be sure as you drive thru to tune your radio dial to 91.1 to listen to holiday music! Donations are appreciated at the exit.
