This Weekend at Grand Lake

Good Morning,

I don’t know where in the heartland you are this morning, but, holy smokes, what a gorgeous morning here at the lake.

Might be a hint of smoke in the air, but, other than that… calm, warm, birds singing… very nice!

It’s now that time of year where everybody has spring (and summer!) fever, but it’s just not quite here, YET.

Let me help you out: if you are on the lake this weekend and looking for some places to go for maybe a cold drink and sammich, these places are open: Mooney’s, VIP Pizza (but not Sharky’s), the new bar at Scissortail Marina, Juan Montez at Red Arrow Marina, The Quarterdeck at Tera Miranda, and Cherokee Yacht Club for you ‘members’.

You can also park at Shangri-La Marina and walk up to The Anchor. That’s a good option.

Next weekend we’ll add Blind Swine Duck Creek to the mix, and over the next few weeks we’ll get Sharky’s, Eddy’s at Shangri-La, and the new Drunken Rooster location on the water in Grove.

And I haven’t heard or seen anything from The Landings. Anybody know what’s up there?

One more thing… if you haven’t had the spring tuneup for your boat yet and don’t know who to call, well, I’ve got your back.

Oklahoma History Day - Looking to brush up on your state history? Learn Oklahoma State history with living history demonstrations and talks about the great state of Oklahoma, happening Saturday from 9 to 3 at Har-Ber Village in Grove.

Spring Workday - Roll up your sleeves and SPRING INTO ACTION at the Spring Workday this Saturday at Lendonwood Gardens in Grove! There will be something for everyone to do -- no green thumb required! Gather at the back of the garden -- around the maintenance barn -- at 8:30 a.m. for coffee and donuts. There you'll join a work team of your choice. Lunch will be provided. Hope to see you there!

Yard and Bake Sale - Spring Yard and Bake Sale at The Brush & Palette Art Gallery 18 W 4th Street, this Saturday from 8am – 4pm. All proceeds go to help fund the Grand Lake Area Youth Art Show held in April.
