Goooood Morning!

It looks like, after another Friday evening of rain and storms, we should have a beautiful April weekend here at the lake.

Which puts us one more week closer to full-on lake season!

So there aren’t a whole lot of OGAs (Organized Group Activities) happening this weekend, which makes it the perfect time to do those things around the house that need to be done.

Or, to catch some crappie. (They HAVE to be cooperating now, don’t they?)

Or, maybe to hit the Blind Swine or Juan Montez or Mooney’s or The Quarterdeck for some lakeside grub and refreshments before the big crowds hit.

We don’t need big events to make the most of our Grand Lake Living around here. Just a little time and direction.

So, whatever floats your Grand Lake boat, get out there and enjoy it this weekend.

Lake Level - The lake level as of 8 am is 742.7’ with some generation. Lake surface temps are still mostly in the low to mid 60s, depending on where you are.

Civil War Era Days - Har-Ber Village is hosting Civil War Era Historical Days this Thursday through Saturday. It's a walk through time, learning about the struggles of families on the home front, the progression of textiles, and exploring special exhibitions on the museum's beautiful grounds. Time well spent for history buffs and families. Har-Ber Village is located at 4404 West 20th Street in Grove.

Grand Lake Youth Art Show - The Brush and Palette Art Gallery's Annual Grand Lake Youth Art Show is this Friday and Saturday (April 17–18) at the Grove Community Center. Students of all ages from local schools have their work on display — and trust me, some of these kids have serious talent. Stop by and support our young artists! 104 W 3rd Street in downtown Grove.

🎉 Cinco de Poker Derby Pre-Registration Party - The 4th Annual Cinco de Poker Derby on Monkey Island is just 16 days away now, and this Saturday from 4 to 7 is your next chance to lock in your spot. Head to The Shebang to meet the new owners, get some refreshments, and get signed up. The golf cart raffle will be on display with tickets available, and the Lottery Board Raffle (donated by The Monkey Bar) is live — just $5 a ticket for a shot at some big money. 🎭 "Hats Off To The Stage" — A High Tea Social - The Playmakers are hosting something a little different this Sunday — a proper High Tea Social at their theater in Grove at 3 pm.
