This Weekend at Grand Lake - April 17, 2025

Good Morning!

Welp, sounds like there is going to be a little rain over the next few days. At least, starting Friday night and maybe into Saturday, but getting on up out of here pretty quick.

At least that is my expert interpretation of things.

So, if you aren’t already at the lake, might as well come on.

I brought up fishing last week. Well, word everywhere is that it is go time. Especially for crappie, in the docks.

So, go do yourself a little vertical jigging (with minnows, if that is your bag) and stock that freezer up.

Lots of Easter things happening this weekend, from egg hunts to great food, so there is info on that below.

Also, more events have been added to the Events page of the website, including info on a Ship Store Poker Run and the popular Burning of the Socks, both coming up the first weekend of May.

But that is then and this is now, and here is what you need to know for THIS weekend at Grand Lake!

Easter Egg Hunts - All sorts of eggs with treats to be found all over the lake this weekend. Here’s a rundown:

• Saturday at 10 am - Cherokee Yacht Club Easter Egg Hunt and Picnic . Everyone is invited!

• Saturday at 10 am - Real Life Church in Grove →8,000 easter eggs buried under 7,000 balloons!

• Saturday at 11 am → Langley Easter Egg Hunt with over 25,000 eggs! Yikes!!

• Saturday at 3 pm - Rooster Easter at Drunken Rooster - tons of fun for the kids.

• Sunday at Noon - Giant Easter Egg Hunt at The Anchor on Monkey Island

Easter Eats - Lots of folks look for a place to eat after Sunday Service on Easter. This might help with that:

• Beau’s Deli & Market in Langley has a great looking buffet BOTH Saturday (10-2) AND Sunday (8-3). Breakfast stuff, Prime Rib, Ham, oh my!

• Speedy’s Chophouse in Grove is hosting an Easter Buffet on Sunday from 9 to 2:30.

Indoor Farmer’s Market - White Buffalo Lodge, near Grove at 33621 S. 595 Rd, is the place to be this Saturday to shop local at the Indoor Farmers Market from 9 to 2. Find farm-fresh eggs, beef, sourdough, baked goods, honey, jams, candles, handmade crafts, and more — plus tasty eats from B&J Chuckwagon. Support local vendors and enjoy a fun day at the lodge!
