Home & Garden Show Weekend in Grove

Good Morning!

A little breezy today, and then it cools off a bit, making it a perfect weekend to make your way to the new Wolf Creek Expo Center in Grove if you didn’t make it last weekend.

This weekend, it is the Grove Home, Garden & Travel Show. More details on that below.

But it is that confusing time of year around here… days are getting longer, daffodils are popping up all over, and that outside itch is so strong you can’t help but scratch it.

Then it gets cold again, so we’ve still got to find things to do inside. But we want to be outside.

Here’s what I know… Spring is closer than it was last week. Lol.

But there are still things happening around the lake, and here’s what you need to know for this weekend at Grand Lake?

(And make sure to scroll down and read about CASA’s 26 in 2026 program)

This Weekend at Grand Lake

Lake Level - The lake level as of 8 am is 742.2’ with little to no generation. Lake temps are mostly in the mid 40s.

Home, Garden & Travel Show - The Grove Chamber’s annual home and garden show happens Friday (1 pm to 8 pm) and Saturday (10 am to 7 pm) at the all-new Wolf Creek Expo Center in Grove. The show features vendors across home improvement, landscaping, outdoor living, equipment, travel, and much more. It’s the perfect place to connect with local pros and plan your projects for the year ahead. Admission is $5, and children 16 and under are free with a parent.

Eagle Watch & Coffee - Start your Saturday with nature and fellowship at the Friends of Grand Lake Audubon Society’s Eagle Watch & Coffee this Saturday from 9–11 AM. Meet at Lakeland Trading Company in Langley before heading out to search for bald eagles near the dam, then return for coffee and “flock fellowship.” You can caravan in your own vehicle or ride along in the Peli-Van — a perfect winter morning for bird lovers and curious first-timers alike!

Restaurant Updates - Our House BBQ is now open at The Hilltop Inn & Suites in Grove, and Red’s House BBQ (tried it last week → delicious!) is now open at the Ketchum Eats Food Park. A couple of local spots are closed for the next couple of months: Doc’s Bar & Grill at Shangri-La is closed until March 10th. Juan Montez at Red Arrow is OPEN as they get their new building built - and by all accounts, it is coming along quickly! And, Burger Barn & More is now open down the street from the Ketchum Eats Food Park.

Eagle’s Nest Buffer Zone - Once again, new activity in an established bald eagle nest, located in an area below the Pensacola Dam main spillway, has prompted GRDA to close access to the area, as it has done in previous years. A portion of the spillway area, popular as an off-roading destination, will also be closed to visitors to help protect the nest. HERE is the latest info, including a map of the closed area.

Library - New month, new calendar at the always-busy Grove Public Library. The calendar is HERE.

💙 CASA of Northeast Oklahoma – “26 In 2026”

Simple number. Substantial impact.

CASA of Northeast Oklahoma has launched its “26 In 2026” campaign with one powerful goal: recruit and train 26 new volunteer advocates this year to stand up for children in foster care. While 26 may sound small, it would increase CASA’s volunteer force by 46% — dramatically expanding the number of children who have a trained, compassionate adult speaking up for their best interests in court.

In 2025, CASA served 160 children with just 56 volunteers — and the need continues to grow.

🧡 How You Can Help

  • Become a CASA Volunteer – Be the steady voice a child desperately needs.

  • Make a Donation – It costs $500 to recruit and train one volunteer and $2,000 to support a child’s case for a year.

  • Spread the Word – Help CASA reach others who may feel called to serve.

If you’ve ever felt the nudge to make a difference in a child’s life, this is your chance.
