Gooood Morning!

Well then, I trust you had a bangin’ fourth of July weekend? Lots of celebrations all over the lake, and it sure looked — and sounded — like a good time was had by all.

I know we had a great time!

But, around here we are all about looking forward to what’s next.

There’s some boat racing in Grove this weekend and a big splash bash at the South end, so definitely something for everyone.

And, word on the street is that with the lake stabilizing a little bit, fishing is really picking up.

Might need to test that out.

Whatever you do… get out there and enjoy this summertime at Grand Lake. We only get some many chances, you know.

This Weekend at Grand Lake

Lake Level - As of 9 am, the lake level is 747.6’ with gates open a little and generation ongoing. Lake temps are in the mid to upper 70s. Still some debris out there, so be careful - especially at night. You can always check the lake level yourself HERE.

Food Truck Friday - Kick off your weekend at Food Truck Friday & Drag-Boat Show-N-Shine on Friday from 5–9 PM at the Grove Community Center! Enjoy a great evening of family fun, live music by Steel Ridge Band, and a tasty lineup of local food trucks. Plus, check out the incredible drag boats before they hit the water for the Wolf Creek Nationals. Bring your lawn chairs and appetite—it’s going to be a fun night in downtown Grove!

Wolf Creek Nationals - The Wolf Creek Nationals are roaring into Grove this weekend at Wolf Creek Park! This premier drag boat racing event features heart-pounding action from top racers across the country, all taking place right here in our own backyard. If you like speed on the water, this is one event you don't want to miss. Click HERE for full event details, schedule, and spectator info.

Splash Bash - Ketchum Cove is the place to be on Saturday for a Splash Bash featuring the rockin’ tunes of the Wanda Watson Band from 1 to 4 pm. Raftin’ out to some rock and roll… sounds like a perfect Grand Lake summertime afternoon!

Lakeside Yoga - There is a pop-up lakeside Yoga flow with Laken on Saturday morning at 9 am on the lawn behind The Anchor at Shangri-La. All are welcome. It’s $15, and you can see the event she has set up on Facebook HERE. It will be a session for all levels, and a great way to start your Saturday!

Birders Meeting - Join Grand Lake Birders on Saturday from 10:30–11:30 a.m. at the Grove Community Center for their monthly meeting featuring special guest Rebecca Jim of the L.E.A.D. Agency, who will share practical ways we can help protect the waters of Grand Lake. Come mingle with fellow birders, learn about upcoming guided walks and community-science projects, discover more about our area’s unique flora and fauna, explore volunteer opportunities, win door prizes, and see how you can make a real impact—whether you’re brand-new to birding or a seasoned expert. We look forward to “chirping” the morning away with you!

Markets Roll On - More and more summertime treats are showing up at the Saturday farmer’s markets. 9 am is the start time for both the Grove Farmer’s Market on the Community Center Lawn and the Saturday Morning Market in Langley next to Reasor’s.

Playmakers - Playmakers Theater in Grove has a new play coming up, and it promises to be hilarious! Next Sunday, the 20th, is the premier performance of Savannah Sipping Society. Get all the details HERE.

Dam Tours - GRDA is no longer able to offer the free walk-up tours of historic Pensacola Dam, however, some pre-arranged tours are still offered for groups of 10 or more, Monday – Friday between 8AM and 4PM. Please contact [email protected], (918) 981-8473 for more information.
