This Weekend at Grand Lake - July 17, 2025
It has finally warmed up around here...

Gooood Morning!
Now we enter the dog days of Summer here at Grand Lake… it is warm all the time and hot during the middle of the day.
And it is the perfect time of year for those morning wake sessions - if that’s your bag.
There aren’t as many organized activities around the lake this time of year as it is the best time to just ‘be’ at the lake.
Rafting out with friends, chasing those bass and catfish, enjoying sunrises and sunsets, catching a mess of crappie, or enjoying one of the many Grand Lake waterfront restaurants and bars.
Anyhoo, there are still things you need to know, and here is what is happening this weekend at Grand Lake!
🌟 Featured Sponsor: Goldner Dock Construction🌟
Goldner Dock Construction has been Grand Lake’s premier full-service dock builder for more than 25 years, delivering custom residential docks, breakwaters and multi-slip marinas that stay rock-solid through even the busiest holiday weekends.

This Weekend at Grand Lake
Lake Level - As of 7 am, the lake level is 745.9’ with a gate slightly open on the dam and on an east spillway. Lake temps are in the upper 70s, and the lake is stabilizing nicely. You can always check the lake level yourself HERE.
Legislative Getaway - It is a weekend for Grand Lake to shine with the return of the annual legislative getaway happening today through Sunday and hosted at Shangri-La. So if you see a big group of official-looking people and their families enjoying some time at the lake, it is probably them.
Marina Del Rey Auction - Many of you got to know KD Hill in the short time he and his wife, Tammy, were here at Grand Lake. They came in and invested a lot in the South Grand Lake community and made a ton of friends along the way. Well, we lost KD a few months ago, and it is time for Tammy to continue on. To that end, the new and beautiful Marina Del Rey Resort will be auctioned here in a couple of weeks (along with a commercial building and lot in Ketchum). There are Open House Inspections each of the next 2 Saturdays (the 20th and 27th) ahead of the auction on August 2nd. More details on the properties can be found HERE.
Snake Weekend - Don’t forget about the Bernice Nature Center at Grand Lake State Park when you are looking for things for the kids to do. This weekend it is Snake Weekend! They have programs going on both Saturday and Sunday. HERE is their Facebook page with more information.
Playmakers - If you are ready to cool off inside and have a good laugh, Playmakers Theater in Grove is hosting, this Sunday the 20th, the premier performance of Savannah Sipping Society, with more performances coming in the weeks ahead. Get all the details HERE.
Saturday Markets - So many veggies and treats to be had at the Saturday farmer’s markets. 9 am is the start time for both the Grove Farmer’s Market on the Community Center Lawn and the Saturday Morning Market in Langley next to Reasor’s.
Library - It’s July and that means new things at the Grove Public Library. Check out the July Calendar of Events HERE.
