This Weekend at Grand Lake - June 12, 2025

It's time for Toes in the Grand!

Good Morning!

A little damp out there this morning, but I’m feeling like we’ve got a sweet Grand Lake weekend on tap.

Grove is the place to be this weekend with the annual Toes in the Grand festival going on. Details and more on that can be found below.

I’ve got to let you know that the lake is still big, and it is dirty.

Lots of debris out there, so keep that head on a swivel.

The backs of coves and places where the lake is pretty still are kind of yucky right now, but once they are able to really start moving some water out, it will clear out nicely and we’ll be rocking and rolling for the rest of the summer.

Unfortunately, for the time being, there really isn’t anyplace downstream to move that water to. So, we wait.

But - don’t be fooled… you can still boat and splash and have a Grand ol time. We saw several boats out enjoying the evening just last night.

Anyway… here is what you need to know for this weekend at Grand Lake!

This Weekend at Grand Lake

Lake Level - As of 8 am, the lake level is 745.1’ with gates open both on the dam and the east spillways. There is more going out than is coming in at this point, but not by much. The lake is full, pretty dirty, and lake temps are mostly in the low 70s.

Toes in the Grand - Toes in the Grand is back this weekend at Wolf Creek Park in Grove! This popular summer kickoff festival features a carnival, food trucks, live music, a car show, boat races, and tons of family-friendly fun all weekend long. Whether you're into fast boats, great bands, or just soaking up the lake vibes, there’s something for everyone. Check out the full schedule and event details HERE.

Fly-In - FlyHome Aviation and Grove Regional Airport are hosting a Father’s Day Fly-In Breakfast on Saturday from 7:30 to 11:00 a.m. at the Grove Airport. Enjoy free pancakes, sausage, and all the coffee you can drink, plus great conversation and aviation fellowship. Special guest YouTube personality Dan “Probable Cause” Gryder will be there for a meet and greet.

Grand Lake Birders - The Grand Lake Birders June meeting is Saturday from 10:30 to 11:30 am at the Grove Community Center, and it’s a great one for families. Wildlife rehabber Lynn Sciumbato from Morning Star will be there with some of her feathered friends, giving kids and adults a rare chance to see birds up close and learn about wildlife care. This free, public event is a fun way to connect with nature and learn more about the local birding community. Bring the littles and come join the flock!

Market Season - Celebrate Oklahoma Farmers’ Market Week this week at our local farmers’ markets. 9 am is the start time for both the Grove Farmer’s Market on the Community Center Lawn and the Saturday Morning Market in Langley next to Reasor’s.

Library - New month means new things at the Grove Public Library. Check out the June Calendar of Events HERE.
