Wow! What a beautiful morning out there. I hope you can get out and enjoy it, even if only for a few minutes.

So, yea, did you know Memorial Day Weekend is NEXT weekend? That has kind of snuck up on us.

That means, besides all of the fun happening this weekend, including the annual Burning of the Socks, you'd better get yourself, your house, and your boat ready for next weekend.

Just thought I’d give you a heads up on that, in case you hadn’t looked at a calendar.

I’m not going to wax on this morning… we are going to get right to it.

Here is what you need to know for THIS weekend at Grand Lake!

Lake Level - The lake level as of 8 am is 743.1’ with no gates open and intermittent generation. Lake surface temps are right around 70 degrees.

Art in the Garden - Saturday brings a really cool outdoor art show to Lendonwood Gardens in Grove. We're talking handmade paintings, jewelry, woodworking, quilts, pottery, Native American crafts, and more — all set against one of the prettiest botanical gardens around. From 9 to 4, you can stroll the grounds, browse the displays, and grab a treat while you're at it. Presented by the Grove Convention & Tourism Bureau.

MayFest at the Lake - Head over to Grand Towne Center in Langley on Saturday from 10 to 3 for a fun day out. MayFest brings together craft vendors, food trucks, live music, and a classic car show all in one spot. A great stop on your Saturday travels!

Burning of the Socks - This is one of those Grand Lake traditions you just have to experience. Saturday from 4 to 8 at Safe Harbor Harbors View in Duck Creek, it's the official kickoff to lake season — complete with live music, a beer garden, local vendors, a kids zone, and of course, the traditional burning of the socks bonfire. Free admission. Flip-flops only from here on out. 🤙

Eddy’s Opens - There you have it… all of your favorite on-the-water spots are open! Eddy’s at Shangri-La opens for the season on Friday at 4 and will be open weekends all summer long!

Piguet’s Farm Store? - If you know about Piguet’s Prime Time as a can’t-miss dinner spot (the STEAKS!) in the area, you’ll be happy to know about Piguet’s Farm Store. You’ll find a great selection of locally sourced meats, fresh local produce, sweets, and all sorts of other stuff. They will be open Saturday from 9 am to 8 pm.

Farmer’s Market - The Grove Farmer’s Market happens Saturday morning from 8 to 1 on the Downtown Square. I haven’t heard or seen anything about the Saturday Morning Market in Langley, so not sure what is happening with that.
