Goooood Morning!

WOW! What a great start to lake season that was…

Word on the street is that one popular marina, after a slow day last Saturday because of the rain, had sold more gas by Noon on Sunday than they ever have in a full day!

Now, I don’t know if that was actual gallons of gas, or just more money on gas (thanks to those prices), but, either way… that’s a great sign.

And our travels took us from Mooney’s to Indian Hills to Whitecap, and every place was busy… and, in business to do business. Meaning, well-staffed and ready to roll.

Awesome.

But, as you know, around here, we look forward.

So, let’s just get right to it. Here’s what you need to know for THIS weekend at Grand Lake! (And be sure to check out the newest Honey Creek listing down in the Real Estate section…)

Lake Level - The lake level as of 9 am is 744.13’ with no gates open and ongoing generation. Lake surface temps are still right around 70 degrees.

Community Yoga - There is a FREE community yoga event happening Saturday morning from 9 to 11:30 at Har-Ber Village in Grove. Yes… for 2 and ½ hours. There will be 5 30-minute sessions exploring different flows, movements, and connections. More info can be found at the Facebook event page HERE.

Lobsterfest - Grove Rotary’s super-popular Lobsterfest returns to Grove at the new Wolf Creek Expo this Saturday night at 5:30. It is probably already sold out, and the lobsters are probably already on their way to Grove, but… if you want to see if they can slide you in, reach out to your favorite Grove Rotarian. https://groverotary.org/

Rt 66 Golf Trail - For you golfers… have you seen this? Pretty great idea. It is a Route 66 Golf Trail across the length of the Mother Road, and, of course, it includes a very own Shangri-La. Farmer’s Markets - The Grove Farmer’s Market happens Saturday morning from 8 to 1 on the Downtown Square. And, the Saturday Morning Market has returned in Langley! Happening from 9 to Noon, right next to Reasor’s. And… Piguet’s Farm Store is open this weekend until 2 on Saturday.

Next Weekend - There are a couple of big events next weekend, including the biggest fishing tournament of the year, the Big Bass Bash, and a fun fundraiser for Second Chance Pet Rescue - The Roper Romp. Details on both can be found on the Events page of the website.
