This Weekend at Grand Lake - May 8, 2025

Happy Mother's Day!!

Good Morning!

Get these clouds out of here today and tomorrow and then it is shaping up to be beautiful spring-time run here at the lake.

As in, mid-80s next week. SWEET!

My sources tell me that the crappie are hungry again after a little confusion with the water levels, so that’s a good thing. Definitely time to stock up.

And, the lake is stabilizing and boating season is here!

But mostly, of course… Happy Mother’s Day, Mom 😀.

Pretty much all of your lakefront favorite spots are open now with a couple of exceptions - Eddy’s at Shangri-La opens for the season next weekend, I believe.

And, one of your soon-to-be favorites, the new Drunken Rooster on the Water in Grove at Honey Creek, is not quite open yet… but will be very soon.

Oh, and about The Landings on Monkey Island, after making a run at things last year, it doesn’t appear that they are opening again this year. It looks like the property is listed for sale at a cool 8+ million (hey, I think that includes the airport!), so… if you are looking for something to do and have a little extra cash - there you go.

Back to what you are here for, and that is what you need to know for this weekend at Grand Lake. Here you go!
