Word on the street is that we might actually have a little Fall weather ahead.

For those of you who celebrate… Enjoy!

Keeping it brief up here today as I’m actually away for just a couple of days, but wanted to get you info on what is happening this weekend.

Oh, and per The Bum, to residents and tourists traveling to and from Monkey Island. ODOT says construction on the Monkey Island Causeway will cause the bridge to be closed to one-lane traffic beginning October 20. They hope to have it back to two-lane operation before Thanksgiving.

So, there you go.

Lake Level - The lake level is near normal at a little over 742’, and water temps continue to drop ever so slightly, still mostly right around 70 degreees, depening on where you are.

Oktoberfest & Car Show - Oktoberfest is back and bigger than ever at Grand Towne Center in Langley this Saturday from 10 AM to 4 PM! Enjoy live music from Mike Barham and The Profits, a new beer garden, and delicious food from local favorites like The Crooked Pinky, Grub Munki, and Smash N’ Dash. Check out the 2nd Annual Car Show, bounce houses for the kids, and a full day of family fun at Grand Lake!

Old Time Gathering & Music Fest - Step back in time at Har-Ber Village for the Old Time Gathering and Music Festival on Saturday from 10 to 6. Hosted by Jana Jae and Friends, this family-friendly event brings the 1800s to life with hands-on history, live music, and heritage demonstrations throughout the Village. Enjoy a day of traditional crafts, storytelling, and toe-tapping tunes, all capped off with a lively Contra Dance featuring live music and caller Emma Neighbor. Admission is just $5—don’t miss this celebration of music, history, and community on Grand Lake!

Fall Outdoor Market - The Fall in Love with Vintage Fall Market happens this Saturday from 9 to 3 at Time After Time Antique Mall, located at Hwy 59 & Hwy 125 North of Grove. Lots of crafts, vendors, collectibles and stuff you didn’t even know you needed! And don’t forget the food vendors - don’t miss it!

Fall Craft Fair - There is a Fall Craft Fair on Saturday at the Bernice Senior/Community Center from 10 am to 2 pm. Go get some goodies!

BBQ Fundraiser - Cleora Fire Department is having a BBQ Fundraiser on Saturday from Noon to 4. They will also be having a silent auction for this fundraiser, so come out and support the Cleora Fire Department. All are welcome to come, so share, invite, and come have a fun time.

Hoot-n-Howl - Bring your little ghouls and goblins to Bernice Area State Park Saturday at 6 pm to enjoy a fully decorated campground with candy at each turn at the annual Hoot-n-Howl Camper Retreat. Each campsite will be decorated by our camping guests as they HOOT & HOWL to win your vote to crown their campsite as the winner of the 2025’s Best Decorated Campsite! Tons of fun for ALL!
