This Weekend at Grand Lake - Oct 9, 2025

Gooood Morning!

This run of weather is why they say Fall is the best time of the year on Grand Lake.

And, even though there aren’t as many people around, it feels like the busiest time of the year at Grand Lake as well.

Lots of fundraisers coming up, Halloween events, and good times to be had.

I’ve updated the Events page of the website this morning with several things coming up, and in the next few weeks, we’ll even start to get those Christmas Events added - like the Christmas Light Boat Parade (scheduled for Dec 13th, by the way).

But let’s get to the right now, and here is what you need to know for this weekend at Grand Lake!

Oh, and yes, if your favorite place is open, they will be having an OU/Texas watch party - you can count on that!

This Weekend at Grand Lake

Lake Level - As of 8 am, the lake level is 742.38’ with no gates open and intermittent generation. Lake temps are holding strong right around 70 degrees, give or take. Perfect fall boating conditions.

Midwest Mystery Tour - It’s a ghost-hunting type of weekend at Har-Ber Village as the Midwest Mystery Tour returns to Grove on both Friday and Saturday nights. If you are ready to explore the unexplained, you can learn a little more HERE, including how to get tickets.

Rocktoberfest - It is a Rocktoberfest Wheelin’ Weekend in Disney with beautiful weather, a Poker Run, and even a guided RocktoBEER Trail Ride. I’ve got info on a couple of these events on the Event page of the website HERE.

Lights Out for the Birds - The Grand Lake Audubon Society will hold its October meeting on Saturday from 10:30–11:30 a.m. at the Grove Community Center. Learn about the Lights Out Oklahoma initiative and how you can help migrating birds reach their destinations safely. EVERYONE is welcome!

Fall Craft Fair - There is a Fall Craft Fair on Saturday at the Bernice Senior/Community Center from 10 am to 2 pm. Go get some goodies!

Bluegrass - The River Ridge Bluegrass Association begins a series of concerts at Grove Middle School Auditorium Saturday night with a performance by Possum Trot at 6 pm. Everyone is welcome, and I think there will even be pie!

Masquerade Ball - Nevermoor Books is hosting a Bookish Masquerade Ball Saturday night at the Har-Ber Village Event Tent. HERE is what I know and how to get tickets.

CASA Dinner Theater Fundraiser - Enjoy dinner, laughs, and mystery at The House on Ocean View Drive—a dinner theatre fundraiser for CASA of Northeast Oklahoma, October 17–18 at Claremore First Methodist Church.

Caring Hands Gala - The Caring Hands Gala: A Purple Affair returns Saturday, October 18 at Downstream Casino & Resort. Enjoy an elegant evening of dinner, auctions, and inspiration while supporting survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, and trafficking. More details HERE.

Upcoming Watershed Meeting - Don’t miss the Lake O’ the Cherokees Sub-Watershed Association’s Annual Meeting, Tuesday, Oct. 21 at Northeast Tech in Grove—come early at 4 p.m. for a free rain barrel workshop (first 20 households get a barrel), then stay for the 5 p.m. meeting.
