Lake Level - As of 8 am, the Grand Lake level is 741.7’ with no generation. Surface water temps are holding strong in the low to mid-70s with the unseasonably warm weather we’ve been enjoying.

Chamber Meeting, and Golf! - The South Grand Chamber is hosting its monthly membership meeting this Thursday morning at 11:30 at the GRDA Building in Langley. You should have already RSVP’d for that. Then, tomorrow, they are hosting their 27th annual South Grand Chamber Golf Tournament at The Coves. Click the link for details and to see if they still have room for you.

Work Day - Lendonwood Gardens has put out the call for volunteers to join them as they put the gardens to bed at their annual Fall work day this Saturday, starting at 8:30 am. Details can be found HERE.

Fall Harvest Festival - The Pumpkin Patch fun continues at McCorkle Family Farms this weekend with their Fall Harvest Festival happening Saturday starting at 10 am and Sunday at 12:30. this family-friendly event features train rides, hay rides, a hay maze, photo ops, a craft show, and plenty of animals, including goats, chickens, rabbits, and calves. Enjoy s’mores, duck races, pig-fishing, and more. There’s also a wooden swing, pumpkins, mums, and even piercings by Lisha. Fun for all!

Chili & Margs - Get ready for a delicious day of fun on Monkey Island on Saturday at The Blind Swine for the Heart of Monkey Island’s Chili Cook-Off and Margarita Competition, benefiting Christmas for the Kiddos. Tasting begins at noon, and for just $25, you can sample all the chili and margaritas. Enjoy live music, beer, and wine, a silent auction at 1:00 PM, and a live auction starting at 1:30 PM. (Side note… they have been getting A LOT of great auction items!) Competitors will cook on-site, with ground beef donated for chili recipes. Battlefield Shootout - Saturday at noon, The Battlefield is the place to be for you golf fans as Shangri-La hosts the Battlefield Shootout between popular YouTube golf sensations from OU and OSU. Apparently, this is a pretty big deal, but I don’t know much about it, so I’ll point you HERE for more details.

Crawl-O-Ween - It will be a spooktacular adventure at Crawloween 2024 in Disney on Saturday. From 1 PM to 4 PM, enjoy Trunk or Treat for the kids with a costume contest, inflatables, candy, and more! And then, as the sun sets, brace yourself for the eerie Spook Trails starting at dark. With candy donations, food trucks, and other vendors, there will be thrills for all ages. Don’t miss out on this ghoulishly good time—bring the whole family for an unforgettable day of Halloween fun!

More Monkey Island Fun - The Grand Lake Fall Festival happens Saturday from 6 to 9 pm at The Battlefield at Shangri-La Resort. Enjoy a night of inflatable fun, haunted hayrides, a massive bonfire with s’mores, and live music by Rockwell. The event is open to the public, with a $5 admission fee. Food and beverages will be available for purchase. It’s a perfect way to celebrate the fall season with family and friends!

Drive-In - Saturday night is Drive-In Movie Night at Wolf Creek Park in Grove. It’s a double feature with The Addams Family and then Hocus Pocus. It’s free and the first movie starts at 6:30. Come on!

  • This is the last weekend of the year for the Blind Swine Duck Creek location.

  • The Friends of Grand Lake Audubon Society are hosting a Bird Walk on Friday morning at 9:30 at Honey Creek State Park in Grove. More info HERE.

  • The Halloween & Anniversary Party Saturday at The Drunken Rooster includes a free kids carnival from 3 to 6 pm.

  • There is a BINGO fundraiser for the Grove Hospital Auxillary Saturday at 6 pm at American Legion Post 178 in Grove.

  • Creekside Cabins Haunted Village is happening nightly in Grove through Oct 31.

  • Wheels & Coffee happens Sunday morning from 8 to Noon at Honey Creek Landing Marina. Cool cars and hot coffee. Awesome!

  • The lighted Christmas boat parade in Duck Creek and the Grove Christmas Parade are both set for Dec. 14th.

  • The new Rooster’s Bar & Grill location in Grove will not be opening until Spring. Stay tuned!
