Either way, here is what you need to know for this weekend at Grand Lake!

Lake Level - As of 9 am, the Grand Lake level is 742.4’ with some ongoing generation. Surface water temps have mostly dropped below 80 degrees with the cooler evenings.

Merchants Open House - It’s Merchants Open House weekend in Grove this Friday and Saturday with great deals to be had all over town. Go HERE to see the participating businesses and the deals they have for you!

Garage Sale - Looking for great bargains while supporting a good cause? Head over to St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church in Grove for their Garage Sale, hosted by the Episcopal Church Women (ECW). The sale is Friday and Saturday, starting at 8 am each day. Proceeds from the sale will benefit local community outreach efforts, so this is the perfect chance to shop for a good cause!

Food Truck Friday in Langley - Get ready for a fun-filled evening with Food Truck Friday in Langley! There will be plenty of food trucks to choose from, plus live music by JR. Hefley & Friends to set the mood. The fun starts about 5:30. Bring your family and friends for a great time outdoors at Langley City Park.

WAAMI Taco Fiesta Fundraiser - WAAMI’s Taco Fiesta Fundraiser will be held at the Lake Center Baptist Church on Monkey Island on Saturday from 11:00am to 2:00pm. Enjoy “all you can eat” tacos along with a drink and desert for only $10.00.

Women’s Auxiliary Association of Monkey Island is a 501c3 charitable organization dedicated to enhancing the community through projects including the Monkey Island Pedestrian Trail, the island highway easements mowing effort, handmade baby blankets for Grove Integris Hospital newborns, and adult cover-ups for Good Shephard Hospice.

Come and enjoy tacos for lunch, stay for a little fellowship, and help support WAAMI’s many worthwhile area projects. While here, you might want to explore the new Legacy of Liberty Memorial Park, adjacent to the new Battlefield Par 3 Golf Course, honoring our many and diverse veterans!

New Restaurants! - I’ve got 2 new restaurants to tell you about. Grand Lake Kitchen is now open in Grove at Har-Ber Village. Check out their FB Page HERE for hours and details. And the, ON THE WATER, the bar and grill is now open at Scissortail Marina, formerly Port Carlos, near Ketchum. I’m not sure what is on the menu, but their drinks look good. As for them, get the details on their FB page HERE.

Library Happenings - There is always something happening at the Grove Public Library. HERE is a link to the September calendar of events.

• The LiveBliss Yoga studio has moved to Monkey Island and rumor has it that aerial yoga will soon be available. Sweet!

• Don’t forget about Pelican Fest next weekend in Grove!

• Killer Keyz dueling piano show is next Friday at Shangri-La.

• Courage Under Fire golf classic supporting Monkey Island FD is Sunday, October 6th.
